Decision guide
Choose by the rain-jacket feature you actually need
How to use this library
The finder treats each selected option as an essential, documented condition. Each single-choice answer preserves the full matching set and links to the finder with that same choice; combined examples show how an additional requirement changes the result without replacing the broader answer. This English library contains 120 individually researched configurations from recorded U.S. manufacturer source branches, not every rain jacket sold in the market. A fit label or product-page claim is not a guarantee of individual fit or field performance, and an undocumented feature is not counted as a positive match.
Decision: Sixty-four current models meet the men's fit-block condition, including Nukabira NF0A8DWC and Papsura NF0A8A4D; fit labels, size ranges and garment dimensions do not guarantee an individual's fit. Use the same-condition men's-block finder.
The Quest and Antora names cover distinct fits and rain arrangements, not interchangeable versions. Men's Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R carries a Standard Fit label and is a shell-only 2L jacket; Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T instead has 100 g synthetic insulation in its body, sleeves and hood, while Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S pairs an outer shell with a separate fleece that can be worn with or without the shell. Compare the Quest Jacket, Quest Insulated and Quest Triclimate reviews. Men's Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY has a recycled-nylon-ripstop face; Antora Rain Hoodie NF0A7QF3 and print style NF0A8D18 use separately documented polyester-ripstop bodies. Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP is another distinct shell-plus-fleece arrangement. The source labels Regular fit for the Rain Hoodie and print style, but these maker labels do not predict your fit. Read the Antora Jacket, Antora Rain Hoodie, Antora Rain Hoodie—Print and Antora Triclimate assessments separately.
Other North Face cuts and dimensions vary even within the same men's block. Alta Vista NF0A7QAW is a 2.5-layer recycled-nylon shell with pit zips and a named chest-pocket stow route, but official views differ on its fit adjective. Valley View NF0A8ESA adds a 3L shell, pit zips and own-pocket stow; its fit wording also varies between Standard and Regular, and its listed body is recycled polyester/nylon rather than recycled-nylon ripstop. Mono Mountain NF0A88XF is a Relaxed-fit 2L shell with a recycled-polyester body and lining; pit zips and self-stow are not confirmed. Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG is labelled Regular and lists underarm gussets and a right-hand-pocket stow route, while Reign On 2.0 NF0A8JR2 is labelled Relaxed with an oversized snap-front 2L build. Fontanales NF0A8DTK has conflicting US Regular and UK Standard fit labels; DRYVENT Field NF0A8H0R is labelled Relaxed, with pit-zip venting unconfirmed. Review the exact pages for Alta Vista, Valley View, Mono Mountain, Ridgelite WP, Reign On 2.0, Fontanales and DRYVENT Field.
Zip-in, mountain and Summit shells show why the style code and chart matter. GORE-TEX Mountain NF0A831M is an unisex model using men's sizing with a separately labelled Relaxed cut; its 2L shell lists pit zips, while Nuptse/Denali warmth is separate rather than included. DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G is a Regular-fit 2L shell with pit zips; Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN is labelled Slim and lists sizes S–XXL but no center-back length; All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P lists sizes S–XXL without a fit-cut label or garment measurement. Packable Jacket NF0A7ZZ4 is Relaxed, with a listed 28-inch center back, and is distinct from Packable Pullover NF0A7ZZ5. Slider Jacket—Print NF0A8JC0 is a Relaxed-fit printed style separate from unprinted NF0A8H22. Summit Superior NF0A86WG and Graphic Summit Superior NF0A8HW1 are also separate styles; their maker pages label Regular fit and list a 27.75-inch center back, while Torre Egger NF0A8C9A is labelled Regular and has an alpine helmet-compatible hood. Current Papsura NF0A8A4D is labelled Regular and lists sizes S–XXL and a 35.75-inch center back; earlier Papsura NF0A84PR has its own separate assessment and generation status. Read the GORE-TEX Mountain, DRYVENT Zip-In, Lightning Zip-In, All Terrain, Packable Jacket, Slider Print, Summit Superior, Graphic Summit Superior, Torre Egger, Nukabira, current Papsura 8A4D and earlier Papsura 84PR assessments. A fit block, cut label or garment measurement is not an individual fit or layering-clearance guarantee; compare the exact current size chart with your measurements and planned layers.
When the men's fit block is your starting point
Men's-block assessments include both shell and modular rain plans. The Regular-fit Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S has separate shell-only and joined-fleece arrangements; a count should treat that jacket as one model, not two. Marmot's Superalloy M15378 is a 12D nylon-ripstop shell with own-pocket stow, although the maker does not name the pocket; Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16236 has a 2.5-layer shell and removable insulated liner; and PreCip Eco M15881 lists pit zips and own-pocket stow without naming the pocket. These maker fit blocks do not make the products interchangeable in layering or storage. Men's Waypoint M15780 is a two-layer GORE-TEX shell with DriClime lining and pit zips, Men's Minimalist Pertex M16064 is a 2.5-layer polyester shell with pit zips, and Men's Seeker M16070 is a three-layer C-KNIT shell with a helmet-compatible hood; see the Waypoint, Minimalist Pertex and Seeker assessments for the exact distinctions. PreCip Evo Flex M16738, Evo M16733 and Evo Pro M16737 all carry Marmot's men's Regular Fit label but differ in shell layer, face material, venting evidence and PFAS wording. Patagonia's Men's Super Free Alpine 85750 is a Regular-fit three-layer alpine shell with two-way pit zips and harness-clear hand pockets; unlike the relaxed-fit, insulated Men's Stormcraft 283189, it has no body-insulation layer. Stormcraft's two-layer GORE-TEX parka is a different rain setup from shell-only Men's SkyChaser 322682.
Marmot's Cascade M15384 and Ramble Component M15974 are different rain plans inside the same men's block. Cascade is a two-layer NanoPro shell with recycled-polyester ripstop; Ramble has a removable Thermal R liner and supports shell-only or assembled insulated use, although its shell layer count is not stated. Neither exact page confirms pit zips, self-stow or the requested no-intentionally-added-PFAS wording. A maker's size block is not an individual fit promise.
This filter identifies the manufacturer's sizing block, not a body type. The gender-inclusive Hose-Down follows a men's block; the Heyes Peak is a modular 3-in-1 with separate shell-only and shell-plus-insulated-jacket plans; and Granite Crest has its own documented shell feature package. The wading-specific Swiftcurrent is a four-layer shell explicitly sized over waders, not a general-purpose three-layer match. Patagonia's Storm Racer is a listed 204 g slim running shell; M10 Storm 85910 is a three-layer alpine jacket with two chest pockets; and M10 Anorak 85880 uses a separate Xpore shell and harness-oriented taper. Outdoor Everyday 20850 is mesh-lined and two-layer, Pluma PRO 85650 adds alpine pit zips and a helmet hood, and Dirt Roamer Storm 24260 is an MTB shell with a lower-back pocket-stow route. Outdoor Research Foray 3L 322088 has a standard-fit 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch face and a two-way TorsoFlo opening from hem to bicep; Helium UL 322681 is a listed 162 g, 2.75-layer, 15D nylon-ripstop shell that stows into its chest pocket. Men's Stratoburst Stretch 300893 has a different 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester plain weave, explicit large pit zips and left-hand-pocket stow; its listed 240 g weight and 74.9 cm center back identify the garment, not personal fit, and the shell is neither three-layer nor documented recycled-nylon ripstop. The longer Foray 3L Trench 322862 has a listed 34-inch center back but its exact feature list does not name TorsoFlo; Headwall 322092 instead uses a recycled-polyester 75D GORE-TEX 3L build, helmet hood, high pack/harness pockets and pit-to-hem TorsoFlo vents. The Foray face is not called ripstop, and the Helium nylon is not identified as recycled. These measurements, materials and features are not durability, comfort or fit scores. Other useful comparisons include Torrentshell pocket stow, the alpine Triolet's helmet hood and pit zips, the shell-only and insulated Boulder Fork pair, and the different Windshadow Jacket and Parka insulation layouts. Do not infer personal size or comfort from a block label, layer count or insulation weight.
Compare the exact assessments: Men's Foray 3L, Men's Foray 3L Trench, Men's Headwall GORE-TEX 3L, Men's Helium UL, Men's Stratoburst Stretch, Hose-Down Slicker, Men's Boulder Fork, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's Heyes Peak 3-in-1, Men's Insulated Boulder Fork, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Outdoor Everyday, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Men's Torrentshell 3L, Men's Triolet, Men's Windshadow Jacket, Men's Windshadow Parka and Men's Super Free Alpine 85750.
Men's SkyChaser 322682 is a separate Standard Fit shell: its page lists a 2.5-layer 40D ripstop mechanical-stretch shell with a 52% recycled-nylon/48% nylon blend, large pit zips and a helmet-compatible hood, but no pocket-stow claim. Compare the Men's SkyChaser assessment; this is not a body-fit recommendation.
The Stormcraft is not another shell-only alternative: the Men's Stormcraft 283189 page labels its fit Relaxed and lists 700+ fill down inside a two-layer GORE-TEX parka. Its weight and back length are separate men's-edition specifications; do not transfer the women's measurements or hem features. Read the Men's Stormcraft assessment when the included insulation is the deciding difference.
The Marmot trio gives three more men's-block comparisons without implying a shared configuration: PreCip Evo Flex M16738 is a stretch polyester-ripstop 2.5-layer shell with pit zips and left-pocket stow; PreCip Evo M16733 is a 2.5-layer recycled-nylon-ripstop shell with a DWR-scoped PFAS statement; PreCip Evo Pro M16737 is the three-layer polyester-plain-weave shell with pit zips and an own-pocket stow claim. The regular-fit label is not an individual size prediction.
For three other Marmot builds, the Waypoint M15780 has a DriClime lining that is not a listed insulating liner, the Minimalist Pertex M16064 uses recycled polyester rather than recycled-nylon ripstop, and the Seeker M16070's lower ripstop zone is not explicitly assigned the main-fabric fiber specification.
REI Co-op's current-category XeroCloud 3L Rain Jacket - Men's, product 242158, is another men's-block shell: REI lists a three-layer HydroWall laminate, 72% recycled nylon/28% recycled polyester face with jersey backer, underarm pit zips and left-hand-pocket stow; regular and Tall options have separately listed back lengths. The page does not call the face ripstop or supply numeric membrane ratings. Read the exact XeroCloud 242158 review; its maker block and chart are not an individual-fit guarantee.
Two current REI men's-block models differ from XeroCloud: Rainier 227570 is a 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop HydroWall shell with pit zips, left-pocket stow and regular/Tall options; Trailmade C06749 is a lined two-layer polyester shell that REI calls relaxed fit. Trailmade's exact page does not list pit zips or self-stow. Neither block nor size chart predicts personal fit.
The Teris GTX 242157 adds another current men's block: its exact page lists a two-layer GORE-TEX ePE shell, pit zips and regular/Tall lengths. REI's DWR and membrane wording is component-specific; no own-pocket-stow route or recycled-nylon-ripstop face is listed. Compare it with the three-layer XeroCloud rather than borrowing that model's stow feature or face-fabric description.
Men's Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T follows the men's block but has a different rain setup: the exact page lists a two-layer DRYVENT Mono shell and 100 g synthetic insulation in the body, sleeves and hood, with no shell-only plan documented. It does not inherit the separate Quest Triclimate's modular arrangement or any related product's ventilation or pocket-stow features.

Decision: Earlier=no returns 114 current-category matches, including Nukabira NF0A8DWC and Papsura NF0A8A4D; current-reference identifies the edition in this research set, not present availability. North Face examples show why this is a library-edition choice, not a feature ranking: Quest Jacket is a two-layer shell; Antora Jacket and Antora Rain Hoodie are separately documented styles; Alta Vista lists pit zips and chest-pocket stow, while three-layer Valley View lists pit zips and own-pocket stow. See the reviews for the exact style distinctions and use the same-condition current-category-only finder.
These separate current-category North Face models are not interchangeable: the Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN is a listed 2L shell with pit zips and zip-in compatibility; TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4 has its own pocket-stow route; the All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P documents compatible layering without establishing an included insulating piece. The Summit Superior Graphic NF0A8HW1 and Slider Print NF0A8JC0 are distinct alpine/snow-sport shells, not evidence that shared brand or print styling transfers construction details.
The Summit Superior FUTURELIGHT NF0A86WG belongs to the current-reference set even though an older size-filtered result also showed it; appearance in an old filtered capture does not make it one of the separately assessed earlier styles. Current-reference is not an availability claim.
The Torre Egger NF0A8C9A is a separate alpine shell; the long Unisex GORE-TEX 3L Rain Parka NF0A8HA3 has unresolved fit-block and warmth fields, which are not inferred from its unisex name or 3L construction. The Antora Rain Hoodie—Print NF0A8D18 is another distinct style, not a color-level transfer from the plain hoodie.
The Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG has a documented 2.5-layer shell and pocket-stow route; relaxed snap-front Reign On 2.0 NF0A8JR2 uses a different 2L build. Fontanales NF0A8DTK has conflicting maker fit labels across regional views, while DRYVENT Field NF0A8H0R is labeled Relaxed and its exact page does not establish pit zips or self-stow.
The remaining North Face fit/material distinctions also belong to separate current-reference styles: the 2L shell and listed pit zips on DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G, the included fleece pairing on Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP, and the compatible-layering wording on the 2L GORE-TEX Mountain NF0A831M describe different setups. Relaxed-fit DRYVENT Mono Mountain NF0A88XF has a different all-polyester 2L build. Valley View NF0A8ESA is a documented 3L shell with pit zips and own-pocket stow; Alta Vista NF0A7QAW is instead a 2.5L shell with a named chest-pocket stow route. The Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY and Antora Rain Hoodie NF0A7QF3 also retain separate face-fabric records.
The Nukabira NF0A8DWC and current Papsura NF0A8A4D are two more distinct current matches; earlier Papsura NF0A84PR is separately reviewed and excluded from this choice. The earlier Papsura assessment explains its style-specific differences. Current Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S remains a different shell-plus-fleece arrangement from the shell-only Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R.
When you want current-category styles only
Choosing “No, current-category models only” keeps the separately researched earlier Swiftcurrent 81771, XeroCloud Long 241831, Rainier 127274, Trailmade 234703 and discontinued Flash Stretch 227563 out of the shortlist. The standard Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828 are current-category products and remain in this set; read their men's and women's exact-model reviews. Current REI Rainier 227614, Rainier Long Line 227488, men's Rainier 227570, men's Teris GTX 242157, women's Trailmade C06632 and men's Trailmade C06749 also remain. Read the women's Rainier, Long Line, men's Rainier, Teris GTX, women's Trailmade and men's Trailmade assessments for separate features and item identities. The current Men's Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T is also retained as an integrated-insulation men's style; read its exact-model review, which does not document a shell-only arrangement. If you are comparing the current men's Swiftcurrent, read the style 81772 assessment; its maker-listed weight and fit wording belong to that exact style.
The two individually researched child-size current models remain in this current-only set: Kids' Rainier 227851 and Infants'/Toddlers' Rainier C01911. They are distinct age-size blocks, not earlier versions or adult-fit choices. Read the Kids' Rainier assessment and Infants'/Toddlers' Rainier assessment for their separate product-page evidence.
“Current-category” records the edition represented in this reviewed library; it is not a live stock, size or seller-availability claim. Confirm the exact model and fit block on the product page before buying.
Decision: Earlier=yes returns 120 candidates, including current Papsura NF0A8A4D and earlier Papsura NF0A84PR; the toggle adds separately researched earlier styles without promising that any item is in stock. The current and earlier Papsura are distinct US styles, not interchangeable suffixes: compare the current NF0A8A4D assessment with the earlier NF0A84PR assessment. The other earlier matches are individually linked in the guide below; 'earlier' broadens this reviewed set only, not the promise of an active offer.
Current-category North Face styles remain in this all-generation result as distinct models: Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R, Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY and Antora Rain Hoodie NF0A7QF3 have separate shell/fabric records; Alta Vista NF0A7QAW lists pit zips and chest-pocket stow, while three-layer Valley View NF0A8ESA has pit zips and own-pocket stow. Other current North Face reviews cover the relaxed 2L DRYVENT Mono Mountain NF0A88XF, fleece-paired Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP, and 2L DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G.
The other reviewed current-reference styles are the DRYVENT Field NF0A8H0R, Fontanales NF0A8DTK, Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG, Reign On 2.0 NF0A8JR2, Torre Egger NF0A8C9A, Antora Rain Hoodie—Print NF0A8D18, Summit Superior FUTURELIGHT NF0A86WG, Slider Print NF0A8JC0, Summit Superior—Graphic NF0A8HW1, All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P, TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4, Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN, Nukabira NF0A8DWC and Unisex GORE-TEX 3L Rain Parka NF0A8HA3. The specific reasons, unconfirmed fields and source limitations remain in each linked assessment.
When you want researched earlier styles included
Individually researched earlier models are distinct from their current-category counterparts, and this choice does not promise an active offer. Men's Swiftcurrent style 81771 is a different four-layer shell from current 81772; its listed weight and fit wording belong to that exact style. REI's Women's XeroCloud 3L Long 241831 is marked discontinued and has a separate thigh-length 3L shell, two-way front zip and pocket-stow route, without a confirmed pit-zip feature. Rainier 127274 is distinct from current 227614; Trailmade 234703 has a 26-inch listed back length versus the current model's 28-inch listing; and discontinued Flash Stretch 227563 is a 2.5-layer stretch-polyester shell with pit zips but no confirmed self-stow route. See the earlier 81771 review, the current-category 81772 review, the XeroCloud Long 241831 assessment, the Rainier 127274, Trailmade 234703 and Flash Stretch 227563 reviews, along with current Rainier, Rainier Long Line 227488, men’s Rainier 227570, women’s Trailmade and men’s Trailmade C06749 assessments, for separate identities and limits.
Current Teris GTX 242157 also remains in this all-generation result as a separate men's-block shell; read the Teris GTX review for its exact two-layer construction and limits. The two child Rainiers remain current-reference models with either generation answer. Compare the distinct Kids' 227851 and Infants'/Toddlers' C01911 records; neither is an earlier version.
The six separately researched earlier styles in this library are Swiftcurrent 81771, Papsura NF0A84PR, XeroCloud Long 241831, Rainier 127274, Trailmade 234703 and Flash Stretch 227563. Their exact-edition reviews remain separate from current models, and an earlier label does not establish seller availability.
The current Men's Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T and Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S also remain in the all-generation candidate set; the former has built-in insulation, while the latter has distinct shell-only and joined-fleece rain plans. Neither is an earlier style. Read the Quest Insulated and Quest Triclimate reviews rather than treating a shared family name as an interchangeable configuration.
The standard Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828 remain current-reference models when earlier styles are allowed; the separate discontinued Long 241831 is earlier. Read the Men's XeroCloud assessment, Women's XeroCloud assessment and Long 241831 review to compare model-specific features and limits.
The earlier-model and fit-block choices do different jobs: earlier=yes expands this researched library to separately documented styles, while men's or women's fit remains an independent hard condition. The same rain model can remain current under both generation answers; the fit block still limits which candidates appear. These counts describe only the reviewed library, not the full market or present availability.
Earlier=yes + men's fit: Earlier=yes plus the men's fit block returns 66 candidates, including Nukabira NF0A8DWC and current Papsura NF0A8A4D plus earlier Papsura NF0A84PR. This includes the earlier Men's Swiftcurrent 81771 alongside the current 81772; compare both exact-style reviews and use the same-condition earlier-inclusive men's finder.
Earlier=no + men's fit: Earlier=no plus the men's fit block returns 64 current-category models, including Nukabira NF0A8DWC and current Papsura NF0A8A4D but not NF0A84PR. The current Papsura is retained; its separate earlier 84PR namesake is not. Find the full set with the same-condition current-only men's finder.
Earlier=yes + women's fit: Yes plus Women's returns 43 women's-fit candidates, including earlier XeroCloud Long 241831, Rainier 127274, Trailmade 234703 and Flash Stretch 227563 and current Rainier Long Line 227488, while excluding men's 81771 and Men's XeroCloud 242158. The fit block does not change to men's simply because an earlier model is included; follow the same-condition earlier-inclusive women's finder.
Current men's-block North Face examples illustrate why edition and feature details must stay model-specific: the Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R is a 2L shell; Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY and Antora Rain Hoodie NF0A7QF3 have distinct face-fabric records; Alta Vista NF0A7QAW lists pit zips and chest-pocket stow, while three-layer Valley View NF0A8ESA lists pit zips and own-pocket stow. The relaxed 2L DRYVENT Mono Mountain NF0A88XF, fleece-paired Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP and standalone DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G are separate rain arrangements.
Other current men's-block examples are DRYVENT Field NF0A8H0R, Fontanales NF0A8DTK, Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG, Reign On 2.0 NF0A8JR2, Torre Egger NF0A8C9A, Antora Rain Hoodie—Print NF0A8D18, Summit Superior FUTURELIGHT NF0A86WG, Slider Print NF0A8JC0, Summit Superior—Graphic NF0A8HW1, All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P, TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4, Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN, and Nukabira NF0A8DWC. Current Papsura NF0A8A4D and earlier NF0A84PR are also separately reviewed; see the current-style review and earlier-style review. These links identify real model differences; they do not make a fit guarantee.
How model generation interacts with the fit block
Earlier models plus the men's fit block: Men's Swiftcurrent 81771 and current 81772 have separate style records, listed weights and fit wording; read style 81771 and style 81772. Current REI Rainier 227570, Trailmade C06749, XeroCloud 242158 and Teris GTX 242157 have distinct 2.5-layer/three-layer/two-layer/ePE construction and pocket/vent evidence. Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T has integrated insulation and no documented shell-only mode, while Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S has shell-only and joined-fleece arrangements. Compare the Rainier, Trailmade, XeroCloud, Teris GTX, Quest Insulated and Quest Triclimate reviews. Find men's models with earlier styles included →
Current-category models plus the men's fit block: Men's Swiftcurrent 81772 and Men's XeroCloud 242158 remain in the current-only result, while earlier 81771 is excluded. Current men's Rainier 227570, Trailmade C06749, Teris GTX 242157, Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T and Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S remain separate candidates with their own shell or insulation arrangements. Read the current 81772 assessment, Rainier, Trailmade, XeroCloud 242158, Teris GTX, Quest Insulated and Quest Triclimate reviews. Find current-category men's models →
Earlier styles plus the women's fit block: Earlier 81771 does not fit the women's block; the separate earlier Women's XeroCloud 3L Long 241831, Rainier 127274, Trailmade 234703 and discontinued Flash Stretch 227563 do, and current Women's XeroCloud 241828, Rainier 227614, Rainier Long Line 227488 and Trailmade C06632 remain in the result. Flash Stretch has a distinct 2.5-layer stretch-polyester shell and listed pit zips, but no documented pocket stow. The Long page is marked discontinued, while the older Rainier/Trailmade pages link to exact newer versions and retain different specifications. Decision: Yes plus Women's returns 43 women's-fit candidates, including earlier XeroCloud Long 241831, Rainier 127274, Trailmade 234703 and Flash Stretch 227563 and current Rainier Long Line 227488, while excluding men's 81771 and Men's XeroCloud 242158. When the women's fit block is your starting point
The North Face Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S is a men's-block style, so it is excluded from this women's-block candidate set. Its separate women's-fit question is not answered by the fact that it includes a fleece; see the exact men's-style assessment.
The discontinued Women's Flash Stretch item 227563 is not part of the current-only count for this single-option answer. Its exact page documents a women's-block 2.5-layer stretch-polyester shell with pit zips; the earlier-inclusive route adds it as a separate model, with pocket stow unconfirmed. Read the Flash Stretch assessment or find women's-block models with earlier styles included.
Thirty-nine currently reviewed products meet the women's-fit-block condition. REI's current Rainier 227614 and Trailmade C06632 now add distinct current styles: the Rainier is a 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop nylon shell with pit zips and named left-pocket stow; the Trailmade is a lined 2-layer polyester shell that REI calls relaxed fit. Read the Rainier assessment and Trailmade assessment; neither model block or listed size range predicts an individual's fit. The Rainier Long Line 227488 is another current women's-block shell, with a thigh-length listing, snap hem vents and own-left-pocket stow; its page does not list underarm pit zips. Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 remains a separate Women's Regular Fit component system, not the standalone M16066. Marmot lists sizes XS–XL for M16262, but neither block nor size range predicts fit; read its assessment for the two rain arrangements. The Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 is another women's-block style: its exact page describes a standalone 2.5-layer Pertex Shield shell with pit zips, but no included liner. It differs from Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755, a three-layer NanoPro shell made from recycled-polyester plain weave at 130 g/m², with mechanical stretch, pit zips and own-pocket stow (the page does not name that pocket); from Women's PreCip Evo M16751, a 2.5-layer recycled-nylon-ripstop shell whose exact page does not establish pit zips; and from Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756, a 2.5-layer recycled-polyester-ripstop shell with a named left-pocket stow route. Women's Ramble Component M15975 is another two-arrangement system with an unstated shell-layer count. Women's Superalloy M15388 is a distinct standalone shell with a maker-documented own-pocket stow claim, but its exact page does not name the stow pocket or state shell-layer count. Read the M15388 assessment, M16755 Evo Pro assessment, Women's PreCip Evo review, Women's PreCip Evo Flex review and Women's Ramble Component review.
Women's Cascade M15394 is a women's-block example: Marmot labels it Women's Regular Fit and lists a 2-layer 100% recycled-polyester-ripstop shell with a snap-covered center zip; the page does not confirm pit zips or pocket stow. Read the exact M15394 assessment; its listed 565 g weight and 26-inch center back are maker specifications, not personal-fit results.
M15388 is a women's-fit-block example: Marmot labels it Women's Regular Fit and lists sizes XS–XL, but that block and range do not predict an individual's fit.
Marmot labels Women’s Waypoint M15781 Women’s Regular Fit and lists XS–XL; fit block and size range do not predict an individual fit. Read the M15781 review for its separate exact-style fit and shell record.
The current Women's Seeker GORE-TEX C-Knit M16072 also has a distinct Women's Regular Fit label and XS–XL range. Marmot lists it as a three-layer shell with two-way pit zips; that fit block is not a personal-size or layering guarantee. Read the M16072 assessment for its exact-style facts.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 is another exact women's-block page: Marmot labels it Regular Fit and shows XS–XXL. Its 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop face, pit zips and own-pocket stow are documented, but the page leaves layer count, the stow-pocket location and packed dimensions unstated. Read the M15866 assessment; its 255 g listing and 28.5-inch center back are maker specifications, not personal-fit findings.
M16066's Regular Fit label and XS–XL size selector identify its manufacturer's block and range only. Marmot's listed 301 g weight and 27.5-inch center-back length are garment specifications, not a prediction of anyone's fit or layer clearance. Use this to keep the women's model facts separate from the men's cut, not as a promise that a garment will fit a particular wearer. Alongside the Torrentshell and Boulder Fork shells, insulated Boulder Fork and alpine Triolet, the library now covers four more distinct jobs: the four-layer Swiftcurrent Wading 81776 is sized over waders; Dirt Roamer Storm 24290 is a 297 g listed mountain-bike shell with lower-back stow; Storm Racer 24117 is a 179 g listed, slim running shell; and M10 Storm 85915 is a 280 g listed alpine shell with a 30-denier face. The latter two have different pocket layouts and fabric deniers (20D versus 30D); those numbers identify listed materials, not comparative durability. Outdoor Research's standard-fit Aspire 3L 322107 adds a women's 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch face and long hem-to-bicep TorsoFlo opening; the separate Aspire 3L Trench 322110 instead lists a 36-inch back length, waist drawcord and key clip but does not name TorsoFlo on its exact page. Headwall 322111 is an alpine GORE-TEX shell with a recycled-polyester 75D face, helmet hood and long pit-to-hem TorsoFlo venting. The standard-fit Women's Stratoburst Stretch 300894 is a 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester plain-weave shell, listed at 240 g and 71.1 cm center back; the distinct relaxed/cropped SE 322690 is listed at 301 g and 63.5 cm center back and describes a hood that stows into the collar. That hood detail is not a whole-jacket pocket-stow claim. Aspire Jacket 322107, Aspire Trench 322110 and Plus 322108 are distinct product entries. The checked Aspire pages do not call the 40D face ripstop. The two-layer mesh-lined Outdoor Everyday, shorter three-layer Mesa Lane, Granite Crest and modular Heyes Peak 3-in-1 add other construction, liner, material and venting choices. The previously listed 306 g, 357 g, 573 g and 1,000 g weights are manufacturer values, not warmth, durability or fit scores. Use the maker's women's body chart as one sizing step, then check the exact jacket over the layers and range of motion you expect.
The two plus-range assessments stay separate from the regular and SE patterns: Aspire 3L Rain Jacket - Plus 322108 is a Standard Fit 1X–4X listing with its own length and weight, while Stratoburst Stretch Rain Jacket - Plus 322691 is a Standard Fit 1X–4X 2.5-layer shell. Ecoloft Parka 322761 is an insulated Standard Fit listing; its general chart reaches 4X but its visible product selector lists XS–XXL, so verify the product-specific offer. The fit-block question does not choose among sizes.

Women's Helium UL 322837 is a 2.75-layer shell with 15D nylon ripstop and left-hand-pocket stow; Women's SkyChaser 322688 is a 2.5-layer 40D mixed recycled-nylon ripstop shell with pit zips and a helmet-compatible hood. Their fit blocks share a family name with men's styles but their features and measurements remain edition-specific. Read Women's Helium UL and Women's SkyChaser before comparing sizes.
Women's Grandridge 322166 is Standard Fit with front-body and center-back insulation and pit zips, whereas Stormcraft 283204 is Relaxed Fit with 700+ fill down and a longer parka layout. Their source-listed weights and back lengths are edition-specific facts, not personal-fit predictions. Compare the Women's Grandridge and Women's Stormcraft reviews with the exact size offer.
REI Co-op's current-category XeroCloud 3L Rain Jacket - Women's, product 241828, adds a separate women's-block shell with three-layer HydroWall construction, a 72% recycled nylon/28% recycled polyester face with jersey backer, underarm pit zips and documented left-hand-pocket stow. Its page does not describe the fabric as ripstop or provide numeric membrane ratings. Read the exact XeroCloud 241828 review; the block and size chart do not predict an individual's fit.

Child-size jackets need their own size-chart check
The public fit-block question currently distinguishes adult men's and women's styles; it has no kids or baby answer. Patagonia's child-size models and the two REI Rainier child blocks are therefore kept separate rather than silently assigned to either adult answer. Leave that adult filter open when comparing them, then use the exact Kids or Infants'/Toddlers' size chart and check the intended layers. No age-based fit, garment measurement or personal suitability is inferred here. REI lists Kids' Rainier 227851 at XXS–XL Kids' and C01911 at 12 months through 4T; read the Kids' review and infant/toddler review for the exact blocks.
These are four distinct rain arrangements, not one pattern in progressively smaller sizes. Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421 are separate three-layer 50D ECONYL recycled-nylon-ripstop shells, listed at 230 g and 159 g respectively; each is shell-only, and no body insulation, pit zip or pocket-stow route is documented on its exact page. Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday 68035 has a two-layer recycled-polyester plain-weave H2No shell and a reversible zip-out piece with fleece at the torso/collar and 60-g Thermogreen in its sleeves. Baby All Seasons 61380 instead pairs a two-layer recycled-polyester H2No shell with a snap-out high-pile fleece jacket. For the latter two, only the shell alone or shell-plus-liner is a rain setup; neither manufacturer page gives a temperature range.
Read the separate Kids' Torrentshell, Baby Torrentshell, Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday and Baby All Seasons assessments. A public shell-only selection can return the child shells because it does not select an adult fit; a men's or women's fit choice cannot be used to infer that a child jacket suits that adult shopper.
Three more exact Kids styles are distinct from those systems. Powder Town 68451 and Everyday Ready 68076 are waterproof two-layer H2No jackets with 100-g Thermogreen insulation, but the checked pages do not describe either as a removable-liner shell plan: Powder Town has a removable hood and internal powder skirt, while Everyday Ready has a fixed hood and quilted lining. Patagonia lists 797 g for Powder Town and 595 g for Everyday Ready; those source weights are not warmth ratings, and neither page supplies a temperature threshold. Storm Shift 68455 is instead an uninsulated, two-layer GORE-TEX ePE snow shell designed for layers, with an internal powder skirt and no listed pit zips or pocket-stow route. These products' waterproof snow-jacket function supports their inclusion in this rain-jacket comparison, but their snow-specific features are not a promise of fit or suitability for every rainy use. Compare the separate Powder Town, Everyday Ready and Storm Shift reviews; apply the exact Kids size chart and planned layers.
Decision: One hundred current models document a shell-only rain plan, including Men's Nukabira Rain Shell Parka NF0A8DWC and Papsura NF0A8A4D; neither source page provides a temperature rating. Shell-only means the rain garment has a documented standalone shell plan or a modular shell used without its companion; it is not a warmth score or an amount of protection. Use the same-condition shell-only finder to see every matching model.
North Face's reviewed shells show why a shared feature name does not erase model differences: the relaxed Nukabira NF0A8DWC and current Papsura NF0A8A4D are separate shell styles; Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R is a two-layer shell, unlike integrated-insulation Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T and modular Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S. A fleece-paired Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP qualifies as shell-only only with its inner layer removed. Plain Antora NF0A7QEY and Antora Rain Hoodie NF0A7QF3 have distinct fabric records.
Other current North Face shell reviews include Alta Vista NF0A7QAW, a 2.5-layer shell with named pit zips and chest-pocket stow; three-layer Valley View NF0A8ESA, which also lists pit zips and own-pocket stow; relaxed two-layer DRYVENT Mono Mountain NF0A88XF; and 2L DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G. The standalone 2L Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN lists pit zips and compatible layering but no included insulated companion; All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P likewise describes compatibility rather than an included warm layer. Check each exact model review for the limits on lining, insulation, stow, venting and fit.
The remaining current men's examples are DRYVENT Field NF0A8H0R, Fontanales NF0A8DTK, Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG, Reign On 2.0 NF0A8JR2, Torre Egger NF0A8C9A, Antora Rain Hoodie—Print NF0A8D18, Summit Superior FUTURELIGHT NF0A86WG, Slider Print NF0A8JC0 and Summit Superior—Graphic NF0A8HW1. Their shells, fits and feature lists are not inferred from one another.
The TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4 is another two-layer shell-only option; its separate lining is not treated as an included insulating layer, and the exact page does not provide a temperature rating.
When you want a shell and will choose your own warmth layers
Men's Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R is a two-layer standalone shell with no included warm companion documented; integrated-insulation Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T is different, while Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S has a shell-only rain plan only when its fleece is detached. Their family name does not imply one configuration.
The modular shell-only plan is separate from the assembled insulated one. The REI Teris GTX 242157 is a men's-block two-layer shell with no separate insulating garment listed. Kids' Rainier 227851 and Infants'/Toddlers' C01911 are child-size shell-only plans, not adult fit-block choices; compare the Kids' 227851 review and Infants'/Toddlers' C01911 review.
The current REI shell-only examples include Rainier 227614 and Trailmade C06632 in distinct women's builds, Men's Rainier 227570 and Men's Trailmade C06749, and the longer Rainier Long Line 227488. Read the three newer REI assessments: Long Line 227488, Men's Rainier 227570 and Men's Trailmade C06749. M16262 counts only with its removable liner detached. Each Heyes Peak 3-in-1 likewise counts only when its outer shell is worn without the separate liner. Five child-size examples are Kids' Storm Shift 68455, Kids' and Baby Torrentshell 3L, Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday with its removable liner out, and Baby All Seasons with its fleece detached. Marmot's Superalloy M15378 and PreCip Eco M15881 are shell-only options, with own-pocket stow documented on both; neither page names the pocket. The Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16236 belongs here only with its removable insulated liner detached; its assembled shell-and-liner rain plan is insulated instead. Marmot's Men's Waypoint, Minimalist Pertex and Seeker add two-, 2.5- and three-layer shells without a listed insulating component; their different construction labels do not indicate included warmth. The three men's PreCip Evo styles remain separate shell-only options. The Cascade M15384 is a standalone two-layer shell-only option; Ramble Component M15974 is shell-only only when its removable Thermal R liner is detached, and its shell-layer count is not stated. Women's Cascade M15394 is a separate shell-only match: Marmot lists a 2-layer recycled-polyester-ripstop build and snap-covered center zip, but does not confirm pit zips or an own-pocket-stow route; read the M15394 review. Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 is another standalone 2.5-layer shell, with pit zips and hand pockets described for pack access; its exact page does not document own-pocket stow. Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 is shell-only only when its removable liner is detached; when joined to the shell, the documented rain arrangement is insulated. Read the M16262 review for that feature distinction. Marmot's Women's PreCip Evo M16751 adds a standalone 2.5-layer recycled-nylon-ripstop shell with own-pocket stow, but its exact page does not name the pocket or establish pit zips or the required PFAS wording. Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756 is a different 2.5-layer polyester-ripstop shell with documented pit zips and left-pocket stow; its page also does not state the required PFAS wording. The Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 is three-layer and lists both pit zips and own-pocket stow; it uses recycled-polyester plain weave, not nylon ripstop, and its stow pocket is unnamed. Women's Superalloy M15388 is another shell-only option and documents own-pocket stow, but the page leaves both shell layer count and the stow-pocket destination unspecified. Women's Seeker M16072 is a distinct three-layer GORE-TEX shell-only plan; Marmot lists two-way pit zips but the exact page does not establish pocket stow. Read the M16072 assessment alongside the M15388 assessment, Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 assessment, the Evo Pro assessment, Women's PreCip Evo Flex assessment and the M16751 assessment for the distinct configurations. The Women's Ramble Component M15975 fits this choice only with its liner detached; its shell layer count is unspecified. Neither Ramble edition has confirmed pit zips or a stow route. Current Trailmade C06632 is a 2-layer lined polyester shell with no separately listed insulating piece; its relaxed-fit wording and lining distinguish it from the Rainier 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop shell. Read the Rainier and Trailmade reviews for their exact records. Teris GTX 242157 adds a men's shell-only configuration; the exact page lists 2-layer construction and pit zips but not own-pocket stow. It differs from discontinued Women's Flash Stretch 227563, which is an earlier 2.5-layer women's shell with pit zips and no documented stow. Read the Teris and Flash Stretch reviews; use the earlier-inclusive option to include Flash. Baby Snow Pile 61118 is not shell-only: its documented 100-g insulation stays in the jacket; see the Baby Snow Pile review for that distinction.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 is a separate shell-only option with listed pit zips and own-pocket stow. The exact page does not state its shell-layer count or name the pocket used for stow; read its assessment rather than transferring the explicit 2.5-layer wording from Women's PreCip Evo M16751.
Women's Cascade M15394 joins the shell-only set as a standalone two-layer option; Marmot specifies a recycled-polyester-ripstop face and snap-covered center zip, but does not confirm pit zips or pocket stow. Read the M15394 review for that exact evidence boundary.
Marmot's Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 is one of the documented shell-only arrangements; its exact page lists no insulating liner.
M15781 has a documented shell-only rain arrangement: the two-layer shell includes a DriClime wicking lining but no separate insulating garment is listed. Read the Women’s Waypoint review; this setup does not supply a temperature rating.
Women's Seeker M16072 is a separate shell-only plan with 3-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT; Marmot lists no separate insulation and names two-way pit zips. The page does not confirm pocket stow, a temperature rating or a recycled-nylon-ripstop face. Read the M16072 assessment for those boundaries.
Shell-only is a layering decision, not a warmth rating. The men's Outdoor Everyday is a two-layer mesh-lined everyday shell, Pluma PRO is a three-layer alpine shell with pit zips, and Dirt Roamer Storm is a three-layer mountain-bike shell with a pocket-stow route and side zips. Four women's additions sharpen the boundary: Dirt Roamer 24290 is a 40-denier stretch plain-weave face with separate 20D ripstop reinforcement panels; Storm Racer 24117 is a 20D recycled-nylon-ripstop running shell; M10 Storm 85915 uses a 30D recycled-nylon-ripstop alpine face; and Swiftcurrent 81776 is a four-layer, 581 g listed wading shell sized over waders. Their listed weights and deniers identify constructions, not comparative performance or fit. Women's Outdoor Everyday 20405 is a two-layer faille shell with mesh lining, Mesa Lane 20865 is a shorter three-layer polyester-ripstop shell with pocket stow, Granite Crest 85420 adds a nylon-ripstop face plus pit zips and chest-pocket stow, and Heyes Peak 21010 is a two-layer outer shell that counts only with its insulating liner removed. The running and M10 shells have separate pocket-stow routes; neither product page lists pit zips. Joining either Heyes Peak liner changes that model's selected rain plan to insulated. No shell fact sets a temperature limit; pick underlayers for your conditions and confirm the exact jacket over them.
Outdoor Research's Foray 3L 322088 and standard Aspire 3L 322107 add men's and women's 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch faces with hem-to-bicep TorsoFlo vents; the checked pages call neither face ripstop. Aspire 3L Plus 322108 is a separately numbered 1X–4X Standard Fit listing with the same named 40D face category and long TorsoFlo route; it has its own listed weight and back length, and its exact page does not call the face ripstop. The separate Trench products 322862 and 322110 use a listed recycled-nylon 40D mechanical-stretch category and three-layer build, but their feature lists do not name the jacket versions' TorsoFlo openings. Men's and Women's Headwall 322092/322111 are distinct three-layer shells with 75D recycled-polyester faces and long pit-to-hem TorsoFlo vents. Helium UL 322681 is a separate 2.75-layer, 15D nylon-ripstop shell that stows into its chest pocket; the manufacturer does not identify its nylon as recycled. Men's and standard Women's Stratoburst Stretch 300893/300894 add 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester plain-weave shells with large pit zips and a left-hand pocket that doubles as a stuff sack. Plus 322691 is likewise a 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester plain-weave shell in a 1X–4X Standard Fit listing; it has pit zips and a page-listed stow function, but the same page conflicts about chest versus left-hand-pocket location. These Stratoburst shells are not three-layer or recycled-nylon ripstop. Women's Stratoburst Stretch SE 322690 is also shell-only but has a distinct 63.5 cm / 301 g listed build, relaxed/cropped fit and collar-stow hood; its exact page does not confirm pit zips or whole-jacket pocket stow. Listed length, weight and denier identify construction rather than individual fit or a durability ranking. The cited Outdoor Research pages for these models say the items contain PFAS rather than using the questionnaire's qualified no-intentionally-added wording. Compare Men's Foray 3L, Men's Foray 3L Trench, Men's Headwall, Women's Aspire 3L, Women's Aspire 3L Plus, Women's Aspire 3L Trench, Women's Headwall, Men's Helium UL, Men's Stratoburst Stretch, Women's Stratoburst Stretch, Women's Stratoburst Stretch Plus and Women's Stratoburst Stretch SE.
For exact-model details, see Men's Boulder Fork, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's Heyes Peak outer shell, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Outdoor Everyday, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Men's Torrentshell, Men's Triolet, Women's Boulder Fork, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Granite Crest, Women's Heyes Peak outer shell, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Outdoor Everyday, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Women's Torrentshell and Women's Triolet.
Women's Helium UL 322837 and the Women's/Men's SkyChaser pair 322688/322682 are also shell-only arrangements. The Helium page documents own-pocket stow; SkyChaser pages list pit zips and helmet-compatible hoods but do not identify a stuff-sack pocket. Compare Women's Helium UL, Women's SkyChaser and Men's SkyChaser without treating their listed weights as performance rankings.
The child-size matches are distinct, not adult fit-block selections: Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421 are 3-layer 50D ECONYL recycled-nylon-ripstop shells, while Kids' 4-in-1 68035 and Baby All Seasons 61380 have 2-layer shells that remain shell-only only with their separate insulating piece detached. The product pages list 230 g for Kids' Torrentshell, 159 g for Baby Torrentshell, 853 g for the 4-in-1 set and 473 g for Baby All Seasons; those are different maker-listed garment weights, not warmth ratings. Read the Kids' Torrentshell, Baby Torrentshell, Kids' 4-in-1 and Baby All Seasons reviews; Patagonia's Men's Super Free 85750 is a separate shell-only adult example with pit zips.
Storm Shift 68455 adds a fifth child-size shell-only plan: Patagonia presents its 2-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction as an uninsulated shell for layering and lists no built-in insulation. Its powder skirt and waterproof external pocket zippers belong to this snow-jacket configuration; the checked page does not list pit zips, a stow route, a temperature rating or helmet compatibility. It is not the same setup as the 100-g insulated Kids' Powder Town or Everyday Ready. Read the Storm Shift review and Powder Town review before treating the shell-only answer as an adult-size or all-weather recommendation.
For the new Marmot shell-only examples, Evo Flex documents stretch polyester ripstop and pit zips; Evo documents recycled nylon ripstop and a pocket stow route but does not confirm pit zips; and Evo Pro adds three-layer construction and the same two separately documented stow/vent capabilities. None has a maker-listed warmth liner or a temperature rating.
The Waypoint M15780, Minimalist Pertex M16064 and Seeker M16070 also have shell-only plans. All three pages list pit zips, but none confirms own-pocket stow; the Waypoint is 2-layer, the Minimalist 2.5-layer, and the Seeker 3-layer. Do not infer self-stow from a general packability description or warmth from a layer count.
For its separately supported shell-only and joined insulated arrangements, read the Women's Ramble Component M15975 review; the shell-only plan requires removing its included liner.
Marmot's Women's Superalloy M15388 is one of the documented shell-only arrangements; its exact page lists no separate insulating piece. This describes a shell plan, not a warmth rating; read the M15388 review for its layer-count unknown.
Two current REI Co-op XeroCloud 3L styles also document shell-only rain plans: Men's 242158 and Women's 241828 have no separate insulating garment listed, and their jersey backers are part of the shell construction rather than removable warmth. Both list three-layer HydroWall shells, pit zips and pocket stow; their own fit blocks and pocket locations are distinct. Read the men's 242158 and women's 241828 reviews.
The men's Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP counts as insulated rainwear only with its included 300 g/m² recycled-polyester fleece attached to the DRYVENT 2L shell through the listed loops and snaps. The fleece alone is not the rain arrangement, and the jacket has no published temperature rating. Read the exact-style assessment. Decision: In this library, 22 models have a documented insulated rain arrangement; modular systems count only with the specified liner attached, and none of these labels supplies a temperature rating.
When insulation needs to arrive in the jacket
Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S counts only with its included fleece attached to the rain shell, while Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T has built-in insulation and no documented shell-only configuration. Marmot's Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 is distinct from shell-only Women's M16066 and the men's M16236 version; neither the 3-in-1 label nor the removable liner supplies a temperature rating. Other modular configurations include Marmot's Men's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16236 only with its removable insulated liner joined, the Ramble Component M15974 with its included Thermal R liner attached, and Women's Ramble Component M15975 with its shell joined to the included Thermal R liner. Other documented insulated arrangements include Women's Grandridge, the separately cut Stormcraft down parkas, Kids' Powder Town 68451 and Everyday Ready 68076, Baby Snow Pile 61118, Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday 68035 with its zip-out jacket, and Baby All Seasons 61380 with its snap-out fleece. Read the separate Quest Triclimate review for its included fleece and distinct shell-only/insulated plans. With either Marmot liner detached, the outer shell instead fits the shell-only plan; those setup distinctions are not temperature estimates. The US Ramble pages give no liner weight or temperature rating.
The Insulated Boulder Forks have a three-layer shell, stretch lining and listed 40-g Thermogreen. Windshadow Jacket 26490 lists 80-g Thermogreen and 760 g overall; Parka 26495 has a distinct insulation layout and lists 1,117 g. Each Heyes Peak 3-in-1 adds a different modular choice: its two-layer outer shell can be worn alone or joined to a removable insulated jacket. Women's style 21010 lists an 80-g Thermore EVOdown liner and 1,000 g for the system. Outdoor Research's Ecoloft Parka 322761 adds a standalone insulated setup with 100 g/m² recycled-polyester fill, 729 g listed weight and 91.4 cm center back; those figures are not a temperature rating. Its page conflicts between 2L and 2.5L shell labels, so its layer count is not established. Insulation gram labels and garment weights are not a warmth scale; the relevant match is a documented insulating component in the selected rain arrangement.
Read Men's Heyes Peak assembled 3-in-1, Men's Insulated Boulder Fork, Men's Windshadow Jacket, Men's Windshadow Parka, The North Face Men's Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T, Women's Heyes Peak assembled 3-in-1, Women's Insulated Boulder Fork and Women's Stratoburst Ecoloft Parka 322761.
The added Outdoor Research arrangements are not interchangeable. Grandridge 322166 is a Standard Fit two-layer shell with targeted polyester insulation and explicitly listed pit zips; the women's and men's Stormcraft 283204/283189 are separate Relaxed Fit two-layer down parkas with different listed lengths, weights and women's/men's details. The exact pages give neither a temperature range nor a down fill weight, and neither Stormcraft page lists pit zips. Read Women's Grandridge, Women's Stormcraft and Men's Stormcraft before treating “insulated” as a feature match rather than a warmth promise.
Patagonia's Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday 68035 counts as insulated only in its shell-plus-zip-out-jacket rain setup; the separate jacket has fleece at the torso/collar and 60-g Thermogreen in its sleeves. Baby All Seasons 61380 counts when its 2-layer waterproof shell is worn with the snap-out high-pile fleece. Either shell without that separate piece is a shell-only arrangement, and neither page specifies a temperature threshold. Compare the Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday and Baby All Seasons reviews; the quiz has no child-size answer, so an adult fit block should not be read as a child size recommendation.
The two new Kids insulated styles have different one-piece constructions. Powder Town 68451 includes 100-g Thermogreen under a removable three-panel hood and lists 797 g; Everyday Ready 68076 integrates 100-g Thermogreen with quilted lining beneath a fixed hood and lists 595 g. Patagonia describes Grow-Fit sleeve extensions on both, but does not describe removable insulation or provide a temperature range for either. Baby Snow Pile 61118 is a separate Baby Regular Fit, seam-sealed two-layer H2No jacket with 100-g Thermogreen; its removable hood and sleeve-only 1 1/4-inch Grow-Fit feature do not make a shell-only setup. These source-listed weights and fill amounts are not a comparative warmth or fit claim. Compare the exact Powder Town, Everyday Ready and Baby Snow Pile assessments; the separate Storm Shift is the uninsulated shell-only alternative in this small group.
Baby Snow Pile 61118 is not the same arrangement as the Baby Torrentshell shell or Baby All Seasons with its snap-out fleece. Its exact page gives a 502-g listed weight but no temperature range, numerical weather result, underarm vents or pocket-stow route. The qualified PFAS wording covers the named fabrics, membrane and DWR finishes and remains separate from the fit chart and insulated-plan choice. Read the Baby Snow Pile review beside the Baby Torrentshell and Baby All Seasons assessments before deciding whether built-in warmth or a different child-size rain arrangement is the relevant need.
Decision: Forty-one current models document three-layer construction, including Papsura NF0A8A4D; its 71 g/m² textile specification and 224 g maker-listed average jacket weight are distinct values. Other exact North Face examples include Valley View NF0A8ESA (DRYVENT 3L), Torre Egger NF0A8C9A (FUTURELIGHT 3L), and GORE-TEX 3L Rain Parka NF0A8HA3 (recycled-polyester construction). Summit Superior NF0A86WG is a 3L shell with 7D × 15D, 79 g/m² recycled-nylon bonded fabric not identified as ripstop; Graphic Summit Superior NF0A8HW1 is also 3L, with 71 g/m² listed body-fabric mass and a separate 202 g average garment weight. Three-layer construction is not a performance score. Compare current Papsura with the separately reviewed earlier NF0A84PR, and use the same-condition three-layer finder. Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP is not a three-layer shell: its 2L outer plus separate fleece does not make a three-layer shell.
Men's Alta Vista Jacket NF0A7QAW does not meet the three-layer choice even though its page lists pit zips and pocket stow: the exact US source calls it DRYVENT 2.5L. Read the Alta Vista review for its separate feature strengths and the shell-layer boundary.
When three-layer construction is essential
Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S does not meet this shell-construction choice: The North Face calls its outer a two-layer DRYVENT shell. A separate fleece makes a three-in-one system, not a three-layer outer shell. Read the style-specific review for the two-layer evidence.
Forty-one currently reviewed models have an exact-source three-layer shell specification; the four-layer Swiftcurrent styles are not matches for this particular option. Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo Pro M16737 and Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 are separate three-layer polyester-plain-weave shells; the women's page additionally describes mechanical stretch and lists pit zips and own-pocket stow. The men's and women's Evo and Evo Flex styles are instead 2.5-layer products. Men's Seeker M16070 and Women's Seeker M16072 are distinct three-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT styles. On M16072, the main-fabric line says recycled-nylon plain weave, while Marmot separately describes a lower ripstop zone without explicitly assigning the same fiber; the exact page lists two-way pit zips but no own-pocket stow route. Read the Women's Seeker M16072 review rather than borrowing facts from its men's counterpart. Men's Super Free 85750 and the separate Kids' and Baby Torrentshell 64290/61421 also belong to the three-layer set. The Ramble Component M15974 does not meet this essential construction filter: its exact US page leaves the shell-layer count unstated, even when its removable Thermal R liner is joined for insulated use.
The count spans shell-only and insulated plans and adult and child-size entries. Men's Super Free 85750 is a 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE alpine shell; Kids' and Baby Torrentshell 64290/61421 use separate 50D ECONYL recycled-nylon-ripstop faces and remain shell-only products. The latter two are separately sized children’s styles, not adult fit-block options. Women's Storm Racer 24117 documents a 20-denier recycled-nylon-ripstop face and weighs 179 g as listed; M10 Storm 85915 specifies a 30-denier recycled-nylon-ripstop face and 280 g. Dirt Roamer Storm 24290 is three-layer, but its 40D shell face is stretch plain weave and its 20D ripstop is in separate reinforcement panels; four-layer Swiftcurrent 81776 weighs 581 g as listed and is designed over waders. These numbers identify the exact source distinctions; they are not independent measurements or tests. Women's Mesa Lane 20865 uses recycled-polyester ripstop with left-pocket stow; Granite Crest 85420 uses recycled-nylon ripstop plus pit zips and chest-pocket stow. Pluma PRO has a nylon plain-weave face over a woven ripstop backer. Granite Crest and both Torrentshell cuts add other three-layer combinations; Outdoor Everyday and both Heyes Peak systems are two-layer. A layer count does not establish face fiber, vents, pocket stow or included insulation. Confirm each feature independently.
Outdoor Research Foray 3L 322088, Aspire 3L 322107 and Plus 322108 specify three-layer construction with 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch faces; the Plus listing is 1X–4X and carries its own listed 455 g weight and 77.5 cm center back. The longer Foray 322862 and Aspire 322110 trenches are separate three-layer products with listed back lengths of 34 and 36 inches. The trench pages do not name the TorsoFlo feature listed on the regular jacket pages. Headwall 322092 and 322111 add three-layer GORE-TEX ePE shells with recycled-polyester 75D faces and TorsoFlo openings from pit to hem; these are not recycled-nylon-ripstop faces. Helium UL 322681 is a useful nearby boundary: its page specifies a 15D nylon-ripstop shell at 2.75 layers, not three, and does not identify the nylon as recycled. These maker-listed numbers distinguish exact constructions and are not comparative strength tests. Read the Men's Foray 3L, Men's Foray Trench, Men's Headwall, Women's Aspire 3L, Women's Aspire 3L Plus, Women's Aspire Trench, Women's Headwall and Men's Helium UL assessments.
Compare Men's Boulder Fork, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's Insulated Boulder Fork, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Torrentshell, Women's Boulder Fork, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Granite Crest, Women's Insulated Boulder Fork, Women's M10 Storm, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Torrentshell, Men's Triolet and Women's Triolet.
Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo Pro M16737 and Men's Seeker M16070 are separate verified three-layer shells. The Pro has a recycled-polyester plain-weave specification; the Seeker's listed main fabric is recycled nylon plain weave, with ripstop separately described below the chest but not explicitly tied to that fiber. The two 2.5-layer examples Evo M16733 and Evo Flex M16738 do not meet the layer-count condition.
Three new exact-model distinctions anchor the child/adult boundary: Men's Super Free Alpine 85750 is a three-layer pit-zip shell, while the separate Kids' and Baby Torrentshell 64290/61421 are three-layer child-size recycled-nylon shells whose page details do not name pit zips. Compare the Men's Super Free, Kids' Torrentshell and Baby Torrentshell reviews; a three-layer label alone does not decide the remaining feature conditions.
Women's PreCip Evo M16751 is explicitly 2.5-layer, so it does not meet a three-layer must-have despite having a waterproof-shell claim. Read the exact M16751 review; neither “waterproof” nor “ripstop” substitutes for the separately stated construction count.
Marmot's Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 does not match this choice: the exact page calls its shell 2.5-layer; “3-in-1” describes shell-and-liner wear options, not three shell layers. Read the M16262 review for the distinction.
REI Co-op's current Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828 are separate three-layer HydroWall shells. Their pages list pit zips and self-stow as well, but identify a recycled nylon/polyester blend with jersey backer—not a recycled-nylon-ripstop face. Compare the men's and women's exact-model assessments; REI reports no numeric membrane results for either.
Decision: Forty-six reviewed models document underarm pit zips, including Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN; its exact feature list names the zips but reports no measured airflow or opening dimensions. Other model-specific examples include Alta Vista NF0A7QAW (2.5-layer shell), Valley View NF0A8ESA (3L shell), DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G (2L shell), Torre Egger NF0A8C9A, Slider Jacket—Print NF0A8JC0 (2L snow-sport shell), and All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P (2L shell). A listed pit zip establishes the feature, not a quantified airflow result. Use the same-condition pit-zip finder.
Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP is not counted here: its checked exact-style feature list does not list underarm pit zips. This is a documentation boundary, not proof that every version lacks a vent. See the exact-style review.
When underarm pit zips matter
The checked Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S feature lists do not name underarm pit zips, so this model does not pass the pit-zip filter on the available record. Its secure-zip hand pockets are a separate feature; read the exact-style review rather than inferring underarm vents from the word breathable.
Forty-six current models list underarm pit zips. Current Rainier 227614, Men's Rainier 227570 and Teris GTX 242157 join through their exact pages' feature lists, while the current Long Line Rainier 227488 lists snap hem vents rather than pit zips and Trailmade C06632/C06749 do not list them. Discontinued Flash Stretch 227563 also lists pit zips, but it appears only when earlier models are allowed. Teris is a two-layer shell; Flash is 2.5-layer, so neither should be described as three-layer. M16262's exact page lists pit zips on the shell whether worn alone or joined to its removable liner. Marmot's Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 is a 2.5-layer example with pit zips in both documented rain arrangements; the maker does not state an own-pocket-stow route. The Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 is another 2.5-layer Pertex Shield example whose exact page lists pit zips and water-resistant zip-secure hand pockets described for pack or harness access; own-pocket stow is not documented for it. Marmot's Men's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16236 lists zips on its 2.5-layer shell, whether worn alone or assembled with its removable insulated liner; PreCip Eco M15881 also lists the openings and an own-pocket stow route. The Marmot Waypoint M15780, Men's Minimalist Pertex M16064 and Seeker M16070 pages identify pit zips across two-, 2.5- and three-layer shells respectively; their pages do not confirm own-pocket stow. The Women's Seeker M16072 is another exact three-layer C-KNIT example with two-way pit zips, but its maker does not confirm pocket stow or recycled-nylon-ripstop face fabric; read the M16072 review for the exact construction boundary. Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo Flex M16738 and Evo Pro M16737 also list these openings; the exact Evo M16733 page does not confirm them, so features are not transferred across the family. Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756 and Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 separately list pit zips on their respective shells; the Pro also documents self-stow but does not name the stow pocket. Read the exact M16755 assessment and M16756 assessment instead of importing men's sizing or pocket details. Men's Super Free 85750 lists watertight two-way pit zips on its three-layer alpine shell; Women's Grandridge 322166 is a different insulated two-layer example, while the two Stormcraft parkas do not have pit zips listed.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 is another maker-listed pit-zip shell. Its page also documents own-pocket stow, but does not identify the pocket or give an airflow result; compare its style-specific review rather than importing features from a nearby PreCip Evo.
The current REI Co-op Rainier 227614 also lists pit zips on its 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop shell, along with left-pocket stow. Its feature list contrasts with current Trailmade C06632, whose exact page does not list pit zips; an unlisted feature stays unconfirmed, not assumed absent.
This is a documented construction feature, not a measured promise about how quickly a wearer cools down. The Triolet pages call their two-way pit zips watertight, welted vents and place the jackets in an alpine feature set; the Torrentshell pages also list pit zips and additionally describe pocket stow. The new Pluma PRO lists separate two-way pit zips, while Dirt Roamer Storm's front and side zipper openings are not identified as underarm pit zips and Outdoor Everyday's list does not name them. The Storm Racer and both M10 product pages also do not establish underarm pit zips: a breathable fabric, adjustable helmet hood or long center zip does not become an underarm opening. The Windshadow Jacket's checked feature list likewise does not confirm underarm vents, so its hood drawcord and adjustable hem should not be counted as a substitute. If you are deciding between the confirmed options, compare the maker's listed weight, face fabric, hood and pocket layout instead of treating the vent label as a performance score.
The exact Outdoor Research assessments show different underarm-vent designs: Men's Foray 3L 322088 and standard Women's Aspire 322107 list the long TorsoFlo opening; Men's Headwall 322092 and Women's Headwall 322111 describe pit-to-hem TorsoFlo; and the standard Men's and Women's Stratoburst Stretch pages list large pit zips. The Plus Aspire 322108 has the long opening; Plus 322691 has large pit zips. These are product-specific listings, not borrowed features or measured cooling results.
Women's SE 322690 does not list underarm zips, so that feature remains unconfirmed for the SE rather than borrowed from a sibling model. The separate Foray 3L Trench 322862 and Aspire 3L Trench 322110 pages do not name TorsoFlo either. Compare the Aspire 3L Plus 322108 for its long side opening and the Stratoburst Stretch Plus 322691 for the listed large pit zips; neither feature is a measured cooling result.
Read Men's Granite Crest, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Torrentshell, Women's Granite Crest, Women's Torrentshell, Men's Triolet and Women's Triolet.
Women's and Men's SkyChaser 322688/322682 each explicitly list large pit zips. Their shell pages do not specify pocket-stow, and the 2.5-layer construction does not meet a three-layer requirement. Read Women's SkyChaser and Men's SkyChaser for the exact source boundary.
Patagonia's Men's Super Free Alpine 85750 is another documented pit-zip shell: its product page names watertight two-way pit zips on a three-layer 40D GORE-TEX ePE shell and lists no pocket-stow route. Kids' and Baby Torrentshell pages do not list pit zips; a child's 3-layer construction is not evidence of an underarm vent. Read the Men's Super Free assessment before treating this climbing-oriented layout as an ordinary everyday feature package.
Grandridge 322166 adds pit zips to a women's insulated two-layer configuration. Requiring both Women's fit block and included insulation with pit zips currently returns Grandridge alone in this reviewed library; the Women's Stormcraft page does not list pit zips. Compare the Grandridge assessment with the Women's Stormcraft assessment and find every match for these same choices.
Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo Flex M16738 and Men's PreCip Evo Pro M16737 both list pit zips. The exact PreCip Evo M16733 page does not confirm them, so the family name does not fill this feature gap.
Compare the three new Marmot pit-zip reviews: Waypoint M15780 combines a two-layer GORE-TEX shell and DriClime liner with the listed underarm openings; Minimalist Pertex M16064 is a 2.5-layer recycled-polyester shell; and Seeker M16070 is a three-layer C-KNIT shell with two-way pit zips. Those are manufacturer feature listings, not a comparative venting test.
The exact Women's PreCip Evo M16751 feature list does not establish pit zips, unlike the separately documented Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756. Treat the Evo's venting field as unconfirmed rather than borrowing from the shared name; see the M16751 assessment.
Marmot's Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 page lists pit zips and is one of the 19 women's-block matches for underarm venting.
Marmot's exact US page explicitly lists underarm pit zips for Women's Waypoint M15781; that confirms the opening but not a ventilation performance result. Read the M15781 review for its two-layer shell, DriClime lining and pocket-stow limits.
REI Co-op's current Men's XeroCloud 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 241828 also list underarm pit zips; both are three-layer shells and the same pages document self-stow. The separate discontinued Long 241831 page does not confirm pit zips, so it is not included just because it shares the XeroCloud name. Read the men's, women's and Long-style reviews for that evidence boundary.
Current men's Rainier 227570 also lists underarm pit zips on its 2.5-layer shell; REI separately names its left pocket as the stuff pocket. Read the exact men's Rainier review. The Long Line 227488's snap hem vents do not substitute for this underarm feature, and current men's Trailmade C06749 does not list pit zips.

Decision: Forty current jackets document self-stow, including Papsura NF0A8A4D in its right hand pocket; no packed dimensions are stated. Other exact North Face stow routes differ: Alta Vista NF0A7QAW names a vertical secure-zip chest pocket, Valley View NF0A8ESA names own-pocket stow (the checked current/indexed views differ on pocket location), Fontanales NF0A8DTK uses its bonded secure-zip chest pocket, and Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG names its right-hand pocket. Summit Superior NF0A86WG names a right-hip pocket; Graphic Summit Superior NF0A8HW1 names a right-side secure-zip pocket; and TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4 uses a secure-zip center-back pocket. Use the same-condition self-stow finder; pocket names are not packed-size measurements.
Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP is not a documented self-stow match: its exact page lists secure-zip hand pockets but does not identify a whole-jacket stow route. An ordinary pocket alone does not establish packability; see the style-specific review.
When the jacket must stow into its own pocket
Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S has listed zip hand pockets on its outer and inner pieces, but the checked exact pages do not name a pocket as the whole-jacket stow route. It therefore remains outside the documented self-stow set; see the exact review.
REI lists pit zips on Teris GTX 242157 and discontinued Flash Stretch 227563, but neither exact page identifies an own-pocket stow route. Do not treat the Teris locker loop or Flash hanger loop as pocket stow; read the Teris and Flash Stretch reviews for the distinct limits. Flash is earlier and requires the earlier-inclusive generation choice.
Thirty-two currently reviewed jackets name the pocket destination for their self-stow route. REI's Rainier Long Line 227488 and men's Rainier 227570 join the current women's Rainier 227614; the exact men's Trailmade C06749 page does not document self-stow, and neither does the current women's Trailmade. Read the Long Line, men's Rainier and men's Trailmade reviews to keep those model-specific details separate. The set also includes Marmot's Men's Superalloy M15378, Women's Superalloy M15388 and Men's PreCip Eco M15881, whose exact pages do not name the stow pocket; both distinct Helium UL editions; Women's Stratoburst Stretch Plus 322691; and Marmot's three separate men's PreCip Evo styles plus the three reviewed women's Evo styles. The men's Helium uses its chest pocket, Women's 322837 uses its left hand pocket, the Plus page conflicts about its pocket location, Marmot names Men's Flex M16738's left pocket but not the Evo or Pro pocket location, and a hood stowing in a collar does not count. Women's PreCip Evo M16751 and Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 also have own-pocket-stow statements, but neither exact page identifies which pocket; read the M16751 review and M16755 review for those limits. Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756 is separately recorded as stowing into its named left hand pocket; the exact women's-style review explains why the men's family member is not a substitute citation.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 also has a manufacturer-listed own-pocket route, though Marmot does not name the destination pocket or state packed dimensions. Its exact assessment keeps that feature separate from the collar-stowing hood.
Marmot Women's Superalloy M15388 confirms own-pocket stow; the page does not name the pocket or packed dimensions. The M15388 review keeps that documented route separate from its pack-accessible chest-pocket feature.
The exact destinations differ: left handwarmer pockets for the Torrentshells and Mesa Lane; left-chest pockets for both Granite Crest cuts and both M10 Storms; chest pockets for both Storm Racers; the chest-pocket bag for Men's M10 Anorak; and zippered lower-back pockets for both Dirt Roamer Storms, which can also roll into their hoods. None has a stated compressed-volume measure. Outdoor Everyday and Pluma PRO list pockets but no stow route, while Triolet, Swiftcurrent and both Heyes Peak shells likewise have no confirmed self-stow in checked evidence. A documentation gap is not proof that a jacket cannot be folded by hand.
Outdoor Research Helium UL 322681 is a confirmed example because its chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack; each standard Stratoburst Stretch 300893/300894 instead uses the left hand pocket. Plus 322691 also lists a self-stow function, but its own page conflicts between chest-pocket and left-hand-pocket location. The maker lists Helium at 162 g with a 15D nylon ripstop, and the two standard Stratobursts at 240 g with 50D recycled-polyester plain weave, but none specifies packed dimensions. Women's Stratoburst Stretch SE 322690 says its hood stows into its collar; that is not a whole-jacket pocket-stow route, so do not count it as an established self-stowing match. The Foray and Aspire have pockets but no documented pocket-stow route. Compare the Helium UL, Men's Stratoburst Stretch, Women's Stratoburst Stretch, Women's Stratoburst Stretch Plus and Women's Stratoburst Stretch SE with the Foray 3L and Aspire 3L.
Compare Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Torrentshell 3L, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Granite Crest, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Storm Racer and Women's Torrentshell 3L.
Women's Helium UL 322837 completes the separate Women's fit-block pocket-stow set: its exact page says the left hand pocket doubles as the stuff sack. Men's Helium UL 322681 instead names the chest pocket. Compare Women's Helium UL and Men's Helium UL if pocket location matters.
All three new Marmot men's shells have an own-pocket stow statement, but the exact pocket detail differs: Evo Flex M16738 names the left hand pocket, while Evo M16733 and Evo Pro M16737 do not name the pocket. No Marmot page here gives compressed dimensions.
Marmot lists two zippered hand pockets for Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262, but the exact page does not say that it stows into one of its pockets or identify a stow route. It therefore does not meet a documented self-stow requirement; see the M16262 review.
The two current REI Co-op XeroCloud 3L shells document a specific route rather than merely calling the jackets packable: Men's 242158 and Women's 241828 each stow into a left-hand pocket. The discontinued Women's Long 241831 also has a listed left-hand-pocket stow route, but its page does not confirm pit zips. Read the Men's 242158, Women's 241828 and Long 241831 reviews; no packed volume is inferred.
Current Rainier 227614 is another exact pocket-stow example: REI names its left-hand pocket, but provides no packed dimensions. The linked Rainier review keeps that route distinct from the unconfirmed stow feature on current Trailmade C06632.
Decision: The recycled-nylon-ripstop filter returns 26 current matches; Papsura NF0A8A4D qualifies because its exact US source names a recycled-nylon ripstop face, while earlier Papsura NF0A84PR does not. Current Papsura's page specifies that fabric, whereas the earlier style's 66 g/m² recycled-nylon line does not name ripstop. The Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY separately lists a 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop two-layer body and polyester lining; Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP has a 70D × 70D, 109 g/m² recycled-nylon-ripstop outer plus a separate polyester fleece; and Torre Egger NF0A8C9A names a ripstop main body with distinct recycled-polyester hood, underarm and back panels. Alta Vista NF0A7QAW lists a recycled-nylon body, but its checked pages do not identify ripstop. Compare current Papsura with the separately reviewed earlier style, and use the same-condition fabric finder; textile composition is not a performance score.
When recycled nylon ripstop is your material requirement
The Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S pages list a recycled-polyester outer body, not a recycled-nylon-ripstop face; this is a documented material mismatch, not a transfer from another Quest model. Read the model's own material notes.
Teris GTX 242157 uses REI's recycled-polyester shell/lining language, and Flash Stretch 227563 lists polyester dobby plus a polyester/spandex lower body; neither exact page establishes recycled-nylon ripstop. See the separate Teris and Flash Stretch records rather than inferring a nylon face from a recycled-content or stretch description.
Decision: The recycled-nylon-ripstop filter returns 26 current matches; Papsura NF0A8A4D qualifies because its exact US source names a recycled-nylon ripstop face, while earlier Papsura NF0A84PR does not. REI's Kids' Rainier 227851 and Infants'/Toddlers' Rainier C01911 also list 100% recycled ripstop nylon, but their child-size blocks do not imply an adult fit. Read the Kids' review and Infants'/Toddlers' review for those distinct styles.
Twenty-six currently reviewed jackets have a documented recycled-nylon-ripstop face. REI's women's Rainier Long Line 227488 and men's Rainier 227570 join women's Rainier 227614 because each exact page specifies 100% recycled ripstop nylon; their shell lengths and other features are not interchangeable. Read all three exact reviews: Long Line 227488, men's 227570 and women's 227614. Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo M16733, Women's PreCip Evo M16751 and Women's PreCip Eco M15866 each also specify 100% recycled nylon ripstop as the main fabric; the Eco page lists 83 g/m² but does not give layer count, denier or its questionnaire-specific PFAS wording. Their other nearby Evo siblings do not share that exact face-fabric entry: Evo Flex is recycled polyester ripstop and Evo Pro is recycled polyester plain weave. The child-size examples are the separate Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421, both specified with a 50D ECONYL 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop face; their listed 230-g and 159-g weights do not transfer between age ranges. The set also includes Women's Granite Crest 85420, Women's Storm Racer 24117, Women's M10 Storm 85915 and the two SkyChaser shells 322688/322682. Each SkyChaser page specifies a 40D ripstop shell with 52% recycled nylon and 48% nylon, not an all-recycled blend. Neither Swiftcurrent page establishes ripstop construction on its nylon face; the Aspire Plus is recycled nylon without a stated ripstop weave, and Stratoburst Plus uses recycled polyester. The M16751 review records its 83 g/m² main-fabric line and the separate unknowns around denier, pit zips and chemical wording. REI's current Rainier review describes a 2.5-layer HydroWall shell and its separate DWR wording; neither feature transfers to the archived 127274 item.
Outdoor Research Foray 3L 322088, standard Aspire 322107 and Aspire Plus 322108 document recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch shell faces but not ripstop. Helium UL 322681 documents a 15D nylon-ripstop face but not recycled status; Stratoburst Plus 322691 has a 50D recycled-polyester plain weave. Because fiber and weave must both describe the exact shell face, none joins this recycled-nylon-ripstop set. The stated deniers are not an independently measured abrasion or strength ranking. Compare the exact Foray, Aspire, Aspire Plus, Stratoburst Stretch Plus and Helium UL reviews.
They are not one construction family. Hose-Down lists 210-denier recycled nylon ripstop with TPU film; both Granite Crest styles use a three-layer 30-denier NetPlus face; Women's Storm Racer has a 20-denier, 179 g listed running-shell specification; Women's M10 Storm uses a 30-denier ECONYL face and lists 280 g; the men's Storm Racer and M10 models have their own source-listed weights and deniers; and both Torrentshells document 50-denier ECONYL nylon ripstop. These listed weights and deniers identify different constructions, not independent strength tests. Women's Mesa Lane is a recycled-polyester-ripstop face, not nylon. The nylon ripstop on Women's Heyes Peak belongs to its separate zip-out liner, not the waterproof shell face. Women's Outdoor Everyday uses recycled-nylon faille; Women's Dirt Roamer Storm has a 40-denier stretch plain-weave shell face and separate 20-denier ripstop reinforcement panels. Men's Pluma PRO likewise has a recycled-nylon plain-weave face with ripstop only in the backer. These distinct constructions do not meet the nylon-ripstop-face requirement. Swiftcurrent lists recycled nylon but its checked style pages do not establish ripstop, so the finder does not promote them to matches. Fiber and weave alone do not establish waterproof or abrasion performance.
Read Hose-Down Slicker, Men's Granite Crest, Women's Granite Crest, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Storm Racer, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's Storm Racer, Men's Torrentshell 3L and Women's Torrentshell 3L.
Men's and Women's SkyChaser both specify a 40D ripstop shell with 52% recycled nylon and 48% nylon. This mixed shell blend satisfies the documented recycled-nylon-ripstop option without implying all nylon is recycled; read the exact Men's SkyChaser and Women's SkyChaser assessments.
The child-size material match comes from the exact Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421 pages: both call their separate 50D shell face ECONYL, 100% recycled nylon and ripstop. Their different listed weights (230 g and 159 g) are edition facts, not interchangeable sizing clues or personal measurements. A male or female adult filter does not apply to either child-fit record.
Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo M16733 also lists 100% recycled nylon ripstop. Its Evo Flex M16738 sibling specifies recycled polyester ripstop, and the Evo Pro M16737 lists recycled polyester plain weave; neither is substituted for the requested nylon face.
The exact Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 page specifies 100% recycled-polyester plain weave at 111 g/m², not recycled nylon ripstop; the “Pertex” name does not change the listed fiber and weave. Read the M16262 assessment rather than treating this as a match.
REI Co-op's Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158, Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828 and discontinued Women's XeroCloud 3L Long 241831 list a 72% recycled nylon/28% recycled polyester face with jersey backer, but their checked pages do not describe that face as ripstop. The recycled content alone is not enough for this fabric condition; compare the distinct men's, women's and earlier Long assessments.
REI's current Rainier 227614 is the distinct REI match on this option: its exact technical specifications name 100% recycled ripstop nylon. Do not transfer that material to the polyester-face Trailmade C06632 or to any other REI style by brand association.

These exact US pages use narrower DWR wording: Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP says non-PFC for the outer fabric, while Men's Alta Vista NF0A7QAW uses fluorine-free or non-PFC. Neither wording is the requested no-intentionally-added-PFAS statement, so neither model is counted for this choice; that evidence gap does not establish PFAS presence or absence. See the Antora Triclimate and Alta Vista assessments.
When the maker's no-intentionally-added-PFAS wording matters
Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S is not counted for this qualified wording: its two checked official US color pages describe DWR as non-PFC and fluorine-free, respectively, but neither gives the questionnaire's specific without-intentionally-added-PFAS statement. See the style-specific chemical-wording review rather than treating those phrases as interchangeable.
Decision: Forty-seven currently reviewed styles have the requested qualified maker wording. The Kids' Rainier 227851 and Infants'/Toddlers' C01911 pages both state that their DWR finish is made without PFAS; REI also gives finish- and ePE-membrane-specific wording for Teris GTX 242157. These claims do not establish a statement about every component or residual content. See the Kids' assessment, Infants'/Toddlers' assessment and Teris GTX review.
Discontinued Flash Stretch 227563 is an earlier women's-block example whose exact page says the DWR finish is made without PFAS. It is included only with earlier styles enabled; this does not imply current availability. Read the Flash Stretch assessment for the narrower finish scope.
Forty-four currently reviewed styles carry exact product-page wording qualifying a component or components as made without intentionally added PFAS; current REI Rainier Long Line 227488, men's Rainier 227570, women's Rainier 227614, men's Trailmade C06749 and women's Trailmade C06632 say this for the DWR finish only, while Marmot's PreCip Evo M16733 makes that statement for its C0 DWR treatment on the face fabric. The phrase is not an absolute PFAS-free guarantee.
For the new REI editions, read Long Line 227488, men's Rainier 227570 and men's Trailmade C06749; each exact page limits the statement to its DWR finish. It does not establish that all jacket components are PFAS-free or give residual-content measurements.
Read the separate Rainier 227614 and Trailmade C06632 assessments for the exact DWR-only scope; neither wording establishes an all-garment PFAS-free guarantee or residual-content result. Their linked earlier pages are distinct: Rainier 127274 does not show that PFAS wording, while Trailmade 234703 has its own DWR-only wording.
Outdoor Research's product pages for Foray 3L 322088, Aspire 3L 322107, Aspire Plus 322108, Stratoburst Plus 322691 and Helium UL 322681 instead say that the item contains PFAS; they do not use the finder's exact no-intentionally-added-PFAS wording, and the checked pages do not identify the component responsible. That evidence neither qualifies for this answer nor supports a component-level or absolute PFAS-free claim. See the Foray, Aspire, Aspire Plus, Stratoburst Plus and Helium UL assessments.
That phrasing is narrower than an unqualified “PFAS-free” claim, so this guide preserves model-specific scope. Four women's additions have different component statements: Outdoor Everyday 20405 scopes it to DWR; Mesa Lane 20865 and Granite Crest 85420 name fabric, membrane and DWR; Heyes Peak 21010 identifies shell, lining and zip-out components/finishes separately. The wider set spans recycled-nylon faces, polyester faces, two- through four-layer shells, both fit blocks and insulated plans. Storm Racer also scopes its statement to DWR; M10 Storm and M10 Anorak state fabric, membrane and finish; Pluma PRO likewise covers specified fabric, membrane and DWR; Dirt Roamer Storm states it for shell and panel DWR finishes. The men's Heyes Peak and Swiftcurrent pages have their own component-specific wording. These are not universal claims about every component, season or related style. Check the exact style's language and keep material choice separate from the chemical statement.
Six new Patagonia entries state the wording on exact US pages: Men's Super Free 85750 applies it to fabric, membrane and DWR; Kids' and Baby Torrentshell 64290/61421 apply it to their shell fabric, membrane and finish; Kids' 4-in-1 68035 names the shell and separate zip-out jacket materials/finishes; Baby All Seasons 61380 names its shell materials/finish; and Baby Snow Pile 61118 names its fabrics, membrane and DWR finishes. Each remains a qualified maker statement, not a site laboratory result or an absolute claim about all parts of a garment. Read the Men's Super Free, Kids' Torrentshell, Baby Torrentshell, Kids' 4-in-1, Baby All Seasons and Baby Snow Pile assessments for the separate component descriptions.
The three new Kids pages also qualify, but each statement must stay tied to its own named parts: Powder Town covers the specified fabric, membrane and DWR; Everyday Ready scopes the statement to specified shell/lining materials and finishes; Storm Shift describes its shell components and finish. Baby Snow Pile is a separate 61118 page with wording for its fabrics, membrane and DWR finishes. None of these source statements is an absolute PFAS-free assurance, independent chemical test, or substitute for separate face-fabric, layer-count and insulation requirements. Read the Powder Town, Everyday Ready, Storm Shift and Baby Snow Pile reviews alongside the maker's exact words.
Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo M16733 matches the same option only on the exact maker statement about its C0 DWR treatment on the face fabric. This narrower scope is different from a whole-garment guarantee, and the exact Evo Flex and Evo Pro pages do not make that wording; the latter models remain unknown for this selection.
Outdoor Research's product pages for Foray 3L 322088, Aspire 3L 322107, Aspire Plus 322108, Stratoburst Plus 322691 and Helium UL 322681 say that the item contains PFAS; they do not use the finder's exact no-intentionally-added-PFAS wording and do not identify the responsible components. Their evidence therefore neither qualifies for this answer nor supports a component-level or absolute PFAS-free claim. See the exact Foray, Aspire, Aspire Plus, Stratoburst Plus and Helium UL reviews.
Useful comparisons include Men's Boulder Fork, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's Heyes Peak 3-in-1, Men's Insulated Boulder Fork, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Outdoor Everyday, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Men's Torrentshell, Men's Triolet, Men's Windshadow Jacket, Men's Windshadow Parka, Women's Boulder Fork, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Granite Crest, Women's Heyes Peak 3-in-1, Women's Insulated Boulder Fork, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Outdoor Everyday, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Women's Torrentshell and Women's Triolet.
The exact Women's PreCip Evo M16751 page does not state this qualified wording, so its fact remains unknown rather than passing or failing a claim about garment chemistry. Do not transfer the Men's M16733 DWR statement; compare the M16751 review with the exact product wording.
For Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262, Marmot lists C0 DWR on the face fabric but does not state the requested no-intentionally-added-PFAS wording. The exact quiz choice therefore remains unconfirmed, not a conclusion that PFAS are present or absent; see the M16262 review.
REI's Men's XeroCloud 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 241828 product pages also state that the DWR finish is made without PFAS. That is finish-specific wording, not a guarantee about all garment components or measured residual content. The discontinued Long 241831 page makes the same DWR-scoped statement; see its separate review rather than treating it as current stock. Compare the men's and women's current-style assessments.

Important combinations: ask for the features that must coexist
A single-choice answer does not establish that several requirements coexist on one real jacket. The following examples keep conditions together and show where the reviewed evidence gives a fit, a meaningful limitation or an honest no-match result.
Men's Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP belongs in this intersection only with its separate fleece attached; the shell-alone plan is a different result. Read the exact-model assessment. Decision: Ten men's-block styles have an insulated rain plan; modular fleece or liner systems count only with the specified rain shell joined, while Quest Insulated is a separate integrated setup.
Men's fit block plus included insulation
Within the current reviewed library, the men's fit-block and insulated requirements return ten styles, including Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP and Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S only when each included fleece is joined to its shell. The matches are The North Face Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP, Marmot's Men's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16236 and Ramble Component M15974 only when each shell is joined to its removable liner, Men's Heyes Peak 3-in-1, Men's Insulated Boulder Fork, Men's Windshadow Jacket, Men's Windshadow Parka, Outdoor Research Men's Stormcraft 283189, The North Face Men's Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T and The North Face Men's Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S. Quest Insulated has a single documented insulated arrangement; its product page does not describe a removable liner or shell-only mode. The Triclimate's joined fleece is its insulated rain plan, while its detached outer is shell-only. With either Marmot liner detached, the shell instead belongs to the shell-only set; neither setup establishes a temperature range, and Ramble's shell layer count is not stated.
Heyes Peak is the key interaction case: the same jacket has a documented insulated plan when its outer shell is zipped to the included jacket, and a separate shell-only plan when that liner is removed. The Boulder Fork is a three-layer shell with a stretch liner and 40-g Thermogreen; Jacket 26490 is a two-layer build with 80-g Thermogreen and a 760 g listed weight; Parka 26495 is a distinct two-layer arrangement with its own insulation layout and 1,117 g listed weight. The manufacturer gives no temperature rating, and the listed gram values do not form a warmth scale. Add construction separately if three-layer is essential.
Compare Men's Heyes Peak 3-in-1, Men's Insulated Boulder Fork, Men's Windshadow Jacket, Men's Windshadow Parka and Men's Stormcraft 283189; the shell examples Men's Torrentshell and Men's Triolet do not meet the insulation requirement.
Women's fit block plus included insulation
Decision: Seven women's-block models document an insulated rain arrangement; M16262 counts only with its shell zipped to the included removable liner, while the separately named M16066 is a shell-only style.
The Insulated Boulder Fork is a three-layer shell with a stretch lining and listed 40-g Thermogreen. Heyes Peak 21010 is a different two-layer shell plus an included zip-out liner with 80-g Thermore EVOdown; it counts only when joined to the shell for insulated rain use. Outdoor Research's Ecoloft Parka 322761 has integrated 100 g/m² Ecoloft fill and a 91.4 cm listed center back, but its page conflicts between 2L and 2.5L shell descriptions. The fill and garment measurements do not give a temperature rating. The fit-block filter is not a warmth score: use each jacket's own fit notes and plan clothing for the conditions.
Read Women's Grandridge 322166, Women's Heyes Peak 3-in-1, Women's Insulated Boulder Fork, Women's Stormcraft 283204, Women's Stratoburst Ecoloft Parka and the Women's Ramble Component review; compare the shell-only Women's Boulder Fork.
Decision: Only Grandridge and Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 combine the women's fit block, an insulated rain arrangement and pit zips; M16262 qualifies when its shell is joined to the removable liner. The product page for Grandridge lists pit zips with targeted insulation; the M16262 review explains the joined setup. Find every match for this three-choice combination →
Decision: For a men's fit block and shell-only rain plan, 58 current models match, including Nukabira NF0A8DWC and Papsura NF0A8A4D; this query leaves underarm venting optional. The fit block identifies a maker's sizing range, not a prediction about your body; shell-only means the rain shell is used without a documented included insulating arrangement. Find all candidates with the same-condition men's shell-only finder.
North Face men's models within this two-condition result have materially different builds: the relaxed Nukabira NF0A8DWC, three-layer Papsura NF0A8A4D, two-layer Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R, Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY and Antora Rain Hoodie NF0A7QF3 have separate shell/fabric records. The fleece-paired Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP appears only in its shell-only plan. Alta Vista NF0A7QAW lists pit zips and chest-pocket stow; three-layer Valley View NF0A8ESA lists pit zips and own-pocket stow.
Other current men's styles include relaxed two-layer DRYVENT Mono Mountain NF0A88XF, DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G, DRYVENT Field NF0A8H0R, Fontanales NF0A8DTK, Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG, relaxed snap-front Reign On 2.0 NF0A8JR2, Torre Egger NF0A8C9A, Antora Rain Hoodie—Print NF0A8D18, Summit Superior FUTURELIGHT NF0A86WG, Slider Print NF0A8JC0, Summit Superior—Graphic NF0A8HW1, All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P, TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4 and Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN. Read each exact-style assessment for its supported shell, liner, stow, vent and fit details rather than transferring features across the North Face range.
Men's fit block plus shell-only layering
Men's Quest Jacket NF0A8G0R is a current men's two-layer shell, unlike integrated-insulation Quest Insulated NF0A8G0T or modular Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S, whose shell-only plan requires removing its fleece. Compare the separate reviews; a shared product family does not mean shared warmth setup or shell functions.
Outdoor Research's six men's shell-only arrangements have distinct builds. Foray 3L 322088 has 40D recycled-nylon mechanical stretch and long TorsoFlo venting; Foray 3L Trench 322862 is a longer city shell with the same named face type, but its exact feature list does not name TorsoFlo. Headwall 322092 is a three-layer GORE-TEX shell with recycled-polyester 75D, helmet hood, high pack/harness pockets and pit-to-hem TorsoFlo vents. Helium UL 322681 is a 2.75-layer 15D nylon-ripstop shell that stows into its chest pocket; the maker does not identify its nylon as recycled. Men's SkyChaser 322682 is a distinct 2.5-layer shell with a 40D recycled-nylon/nylon ripstop face and large pit zips, but no documented pocket-stow route. Standard Stratoburst Stretch 300893 is a 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester plain-weave shell with large pit zips and a left-hand stuff-sack pocket. Compare the Foray 3L Jacket, Foray 3L Trench, Headwall, Helium UL, SkyChaser and Stratoburst Stretch; no feature transfers between product numbers.
Within the current reviewed library, the men's fit-block and shell-only requirements return 58 current matches, including the Quest Triclimate NF0A8G0S outer shell worn without its fleece inner. The six Outdoor Research products are Foray Jacket, Foray Trench, Headwall, Helium UL, SkyChaser and Stratoburst Stretch; Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo Flex, Evo and Evo Pro plus Waypoint, Minimalist Pertex and Seeker, Superalloy M15378, Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16236 with its liner detached, PreCip Eco M15881, Cascade M15384 and Ramble Component M15974 with its liner detached; and the Men's Boulder Fork, Dirt Roamer Storm, Granite Crest, Heyes Peak outer shell, M10 Anorak, M10 Storm, Outdoor Everyday, Pluma PRO, Storm Racer, Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Torrentshell 3L, Triolet, Super Free Alpine 85750, REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158, Men's Rainier 227570, Men's Trailmade C06749 and Teris GTX 242157. The Triclimate's fleece-attached arrangement is not part of this shell-only set; use the separate product review to compare both plans.
Marmot adds three distinct shell-only choices to this men's set. The PreCip Evo Flex M16738 is a stretch 2.5-layer recycled-polyester-ripstop shell with pit zips and a left-pocket stow route; the Evo M16733 is 2.5-layer recycled-nylon ripstop, with pocket location unspecified and no pit-zip claim confirmed; and the Evo Pro M16737 is three-layer recycled-polyester plain weave with pit zips and an own-pocket stow claim. The Pro is the Marmot choice when three layers and both listed features matter; the other two do not become three-layer shells because they share a family name.
The separate Marmot Waypoint M15780, Minimalist Pertex M16064 and Seeker M16070 extend the men's shell-only set without a self-stow claim: Waypoint is 2-layer GORE-TEX with DriClime lining, Minimalist is 2.5-layer Pertex with recycled-polyester plain weave, and Seeker is 3-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT. Their exact pages each list pit zips; the Seeker adds a helmet-compatible hood and harness-oriented pocket layout. Compare the Waypoint, Minimalist Pertex and Seeker reviews rather than transferring facts between category neighbors.
Men's Super Free Alpine 85750 adds a three-layer 40D GORE-TEX ePE shell with watertight two-way pit zips and a harness-clear pocket layout; it does not have a documented self-stow route. All four child-size styles in this review—Kids' and Baby Torrentshell, Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday and Baby All Seasons—are excluded by this men's fit choice: their separate child-size charts are neither adult fit block, even though some meet a shell-only plan. See the Men's Super Free review, the Kids'/Baby Torrentshell reviews and the Kids' 4-in-1/Baby All Seasons reviews for the distinction.
Granite Crest combines a documented three-layer shell with pit zips and pocket stow. Outdoor Everyday is a two-layer mesh-lined shell; Pluma PRO adds three-layer construction and pit zips but no listed pocket-stow route; and Dirt Roamer Storm adds a lower-back stow pocket but its front/side zippers are not identified as pit zips. Men's SkyChaser 322682 adds a 2.5-layer mixed recycled-nylon ripstop shell and large pit zips but does not document own-pocket stow. The earlier Storm Racer and M10 shells also have pocket-stow routes, but no confirmed underarm pit zips. Swiftcurrent is a four-layer wading shell sized over waders, and Heyes Peak meets shell-only only when its included insulated jacket is left out. The gender-inclusive Hose-Down is not included because its page does not resolve its insulation status. The Insulated Boulder Fork and Windshadow styles document insulated rain arrangements, so they do not become shell-only just because a visitor could wear other layers underneath.
Compare Men's Boulder Fork, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's Heyes Peak outer shell, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Outdoor Everyday, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket, Men's Torrentshell and Men's Triolet.
Read Men's SkyChaser 322682 for its own 2.5-layer shell, pit vents and no stow claim.
Decision: With men's fit, shell-only use and pit zips required, 27 current styles match, including Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN; its exact page lists the feature but gives no airflow measurement. Other reviewed examples include the 2L All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In NF0A8G0P, 2L Slider Jacket—Print NF0A8JC0, 3L Torre Egger NF0A8C9A and 2L DRYVENT Zip-In NF0A8J5G. Their reviews document the same required men's block, shell-only plan and underarm vents while keeping layer counts and compatibility details model-specific: Lightning Zip-In, All Terrain GORE-TEX Zip-In, Slider Jacket—Print, Torre Egger and DRYVENT Zip-In. No listing measures airflow. Use the same-condition men's shell-only pit-zip finder.
Men's sizing, shell-only layering and pit-zip venting
This active-use scenario keeps three separate requirements together: the men's size block, a rain shell without an included insulating piece, and explicitly listed underarm pit zips. The GORE-TEX Mountain NF0A831M is a 2L option with separately compatible warmth, not an included insulating companion.
The North Face Mountain page lists both the pit zips and separate Nuptse/Denali compatibility; neither is evidence that an insulating companion comes in the jacket package. Compare the GORE-TEX Mountain NF0A831M with three-layer Valley View NF0A8ESA, Marmot Waypoint M15780 and Outdoor Research SkyChaser 322682; their shell layers, materials and storage claims are not interchangeable. The known GORE-TEX Mountain fabric is recycled polyester rather than recycled-nylon ripstop, and its own-pocket stow remains unconfirmed.
Decision: With men's fit, shell-only use and pit zips required, 27 current styles match, including Lightning Zip-In NF0A87GN; the exact page lists the feature but gives no airflow measurement.

Women's fit block plus shell-only layering
Women’s Waypoint M15781 is a women’s-block shell-only match with a DriClime lining and underarm pit zips; the page lists no separate insulating garment. Read the M15781 review for the exact product limits.
Women's Seeker M16072 adds a different women's-block shell-only arrangement: a three-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT shell with two-way pit zips and no separately listed insulation. It is not an own-pocket-stow match. Read the M16072 review for its distinct fiber and fit boundaries.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 documents own-pocket stow and a shell-only plan. Its exact page does not state the layer count or name the stow pocket, so those details remain unknown rather than inferred from the PreCip name.
Women's Cascade M15394 is a women's-block shell-only match with a 2-layer recycled-polyester-ripstop face; its page does not confirm pit zips or pocket stow. Read the exact M15394 review for the construction and feature limits.
Aspire Jacket 322107 is a Standard Fit three-layer shell with a 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch face and the long hem-to-bicep TorsoFlo opening. Aspire Trench 322110 is separately listed with a 36-inch center back, waist drawcord and key clip; its feature list does not name TorsoFlo. Headwall 322111 is an alpine GORE-TEX shell with a recycled-polyester 75D face, helmet hood, high pack/harness pockets and pit-to-hem TorsoFlo vents. Standard Stratoburst Stretch 300894 is a 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester plain-weave shell, while SE 322690 is a relaxed/cropped version with a 63.5 cm listed center back and collar-stow hood. The regular model is listed at 71.1 cm center back; these figures are maker specifications, not individual fit or coverage promises. The checked Aspire pages do not call their 40D faces ripstop. Compare the exact Aspire Jacket, Aspire Trench, Headwall, Stratoburst Stretch and Stratoburst Stretch SE; these source-model records do not predict an individual fit.
Thirty-five currently reviewed products match the women's fit-block and shell-only requirements; current REI Rainier 227614, Trailmade C06632 and Rainier Long Line 227488 join as distinct women's shells, while M16262 counts only with its removable liner detached. The Rainier is a 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop nylon HydroWall shell with pit zips and left-pocket stow; the Trailmade is a lined two-layer polyester shell with relaxed-fit wording; the Long Line has a thigh-length listing, snap hem vents and own-left-pocket stow, with no pit-zip feature listed. These individual specifications do not turn a fit block into a personal-fit prediction. Existing Marmot systems remain distinct: M16262 changes to an insulated rain arrangement only when its included liner is joined; Cascade M15394 lacks confirmed vents or stow; PreCip Evo Pro M16755 lists pit zips and own-pocket stow but does not name the pocket; and Seeker M16072 lists pit zips but no stow route. REI's XeroCloud 241828 has a three-layer HydroWall shell and left-hand-pocket stow, but its blended face is not described as ripstop. The full 35-model result remains accessible through the exact same-condition finder link below; none of these maker facts predicts personal fit or performance.
Also compare the Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756: its exact product page documents the women's shell-only configuration with pit zips and a left-hand-pocket stow route. That separate product specification is not inherited by the other Evo variants.
For additional women's shell-only contrasts, see PreCip Evo M16751, PreCip Evo Pro M16755, Superalloy M15388 and Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262. Their documented layer, insulation and pocket details differ; M16262 counts as shell-only only with its liner detached.
The Plus listings do not create a separate quiz choice: Aspire 322108 is 1X–4X, three-layer and has long TorsoFlo venting; Stratoburst 322691 is 1X–4X, 2.5-layer and the source page lists pit zips plus a pocket-stow function with conflicting pocket-location text. The finder returns documented shell-only products in the women's block, not a specific size. Read Aspire 3L Plus and Stratoburst Stretch Plus for their independent details.
These are distinct choices, not a blanket fit recommendation. Women's Helium UL 322837 adds a 2.75-layer 15D nylon-ripstop shell whose left hand pocket doubles as a stuff sack; the page does not identify its nylon as recycled. Women's SkyChaser 322688 is a separate 2.5-layer 40D shell with 52% recycled nylon/48% nylon, large pit zips and helmet-compatible hood, but no documented pocket-stow. Dirt Roamer 24290 has a 40D stretch plain-weave shell face and separate 20D ripstop panels, lower-back stow and front/side vent zippers; those are not pit zips. Storm Racer 24117 is a 20D nylon-ripstop running shell at 179 g listed, while M10 Storm 85915 is a 30D nylon-ripstop alpine shell at 280 g listed, with different chest-pocket arrangements. Swiftcurrent 81776 is a 581 g listed, four-layer wading shell designed to fit over waders. These values describe named materials and manufacturer-listed garment weights, not a performance ladder. Outdoor Everyday 20405 is a heavier two-layer mesh-lined faille shell; Mesa Lane 20865 is a shorter three-layer polyester-ripstop shell with a pocket-stow route; Granite Crest 85420 is a three-layer nylon-ripstop shell with pit zips and chest-pocket stow. Heyes Peak qualifies only with its zip-out liner removed. The Insulated Boulder Fork is excluded because its supported rain arrangement includes built-in insulation. Check the women's chart and confirm room over your own layers.

Compare the new Women's Helium UL and Women's SkyChaser records; the shared family names do not transfer pocket-stow, fabric or measurement details.
The Women's Ramble Component M15975 review explains its two supported rain plans and why neither layer count nor pit-zip or stow details should be inferred.
Women's shell-only rain plan with own-pocket stow
In the reviewed library, the women's fit block, shell-only rain plan and documented own-pocket stow together return seventeen models, including REI Rainier 227614, whose exact page names a left-hand-pocket stow route, Marmot Women's Superalloy M15388 and PreCip Eco M15866, REI Co-op Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828 and Rainier Long Line 227488. The Long Line page confirms left-pocket stow but lists snap hem vents, not pit zips. The current Trailmade page does not confirm a stow route; see the C06632 review for the separate fit-block shell-only option.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 documents an own-pocket stow route for its standalone shell, but Marmot does not identify the pocket or give packed dimensions. It also lists pit zips and a recycled-nylon-ripstop face; those features do not make its unstated layer count known.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 documents own-pocket stow and a shell-only plan. Its exact page does not name the stow pocket or state a layer count; it is a separate style from Women's PreCip Evo M16751.
M15388 is a women's-block standalone NanoPro shell with a maker-confirmed own-pocket stow route and a separate water-resistant chest pocket described for pack and harness access. Marmot does not identify which pocket is used to stow it or give packed dimensions. The same finder set also includes Women's PreCip Evo M16751, whose 2.5-layer face is specifically called 100% recycled nylon ripstop, and Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756, whose page names the left hand pocket as its stuff pocket. M16755 is a distinct three-layer polyester-plain-weave model with pit zips and an own-pocket claim, but its stow pocket is unnamed. These differences can matter when the stow location or shell material is part of your routine; they do not create a durability or performance ranking.
M16066 is a useful boundary: Marmot calls it packable and lists pit zips, but its exact page does not say that it stuffs into one of its own pockets. The Women's Ramble Component page does not confirm whole-jacket stow; its removable liner should not be confused with a pocket-stow feature. A match indicates the manufacturer documents the selected feature, not that the resulting bundle fits a particular pack.
Compare Women's Superalloy M15388, Women's PreCip Evo M16751, Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756, Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 and the shell-only Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066 for their separate face-fabric, ventilation and storage evidence. Patagonia Women's Granite Crest is another exact match for this combination; its model page separates Patagonia's own construction and pocket claims from Marmot's.
Women's shell-only setup with underarm pit zips
Women's fit block, shell-only arrangement and underarm pit zips return eighteen currently reviewed styles. REI Rainier 227614 joins Marmot Women's Minimalist Pertex M16066, Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 in its shell-only setup, Women's Waypoint M15781, Women's Seeker M16072, PreCip Evo Flex M16756, PreCip Evo Pro M16755 and PreCip Eco M15866; Outdoor Research Women's Aspire 3L, Aspire 3L Plus, Headwall, SkyChaser, standard Stratoburst Stretch and Stratoburst Stretch Plus; Patagonia Women's Granite Crest, Torrentshell 3L and Triolet; and REI Co-op Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. The Rainier page lists 2.5-layer HydroWall recycled ripstop nylon and pit zips; its exact review records the separate left-pocket stow detail. M16066 is a documented 2.5-layer Pertex Shield shell with pit zips, but its exact page does not document own-pocket stow or three-layer construction. The separate Women's Seeker is three-layer and lists two-way pit zips, but no own-pocket stow route. A listed breathable fabric does not quantify venting comfort under a pack.
If three-layer construction is added, the current result narrows to nine: M16755 and M16072, Outdoor Research Women's Aspire 3L, Aspire 3L Plus and Headwall, Patagonia Women's Granite Crest, Torrentshell 3L and Triolet, and REI Co-op Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. M16066 and the other women's PreCip Evo 2.5-layer styles are removed by the layer requirement. In the separate insulated-plus-pit-zips setup, the current single women's fit-block match is Outdoor Research Women's Grandridge; M16066's page lists no insulating liner. These are different rain arrangements, not a warming or performance ranking. Read the M16066 review, the M16756 review, the M16755 review, the M16072 review, the XeroCloud 241828 review and the Grandridge review for their edition-specific limits.

For the women's-fit, shell-only, pit-zip scenario, the complete reviewed match set contains eighteen styles; REI Rainier 227614 joins M15781, M15866, M16066, M16072, M16262 and REI Co-op Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. Its 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop shell lists pit zips and left-pocket stow; read the Rainier review for the distinct current-page details.
M16262 joins the women's shell-only pit-zip set when the shell is worn alone; the exact page lists pit zips, while the joined-liner setup is insulated. Read the M16262 review for the separate rain plans.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 belongs to this pit-zip set: Marmot lists the openings, but its exact page does not state layer count or name the own-pocket-stow destination. Read the M15866 review before making either feature an additional requirement.
M15781 extends the women's shell-only, pit-zip set with a two-layer GORE-TEX shell and DriClime wicking lining; own-pocket stow is not confirmed. Read the M15781 review for its exact limits.
M16072 extends the same women's-block shell-only set with three-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT and two-way pit zips; Marmot does not list a self-stow route. Read the M16072 review for its exact material boundary.
Compare the M16066 review, M16756 review and M16755 review; their layer counts and pocket-stow documentation differ.
When three-layer construction is added, nine styles remain in this scenario and M16066 does not match the layer requirement.
Compare M16755, M16072, Women's Aspire 3L and Women's Granite Crest; each has a three-layer source record and pit-zip documentation.
The women's insulated-plus-pit-zips scenario now returns two styles: Grandridge and M16262, only when Marmot's shell is zipped to the removable insulated liner.
Read the Women's Grandridge review and Women's Minimalist Pertex 3-in-1 M16262 review for the exact insulated configurations; M16066 is a standalone shell instead.
Women's shell-only plan plus three-layer construction
Aspire Jacket 322107 and Aspire Trench 322110 each specify a three-layer 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch shell, but neither checked page calls its face ripstop. TorsoFlo is listed on the jacket, not the trench. Headwall 322111 adds a three-layer 75D recycled-polyester GORE-TEX shell with long TorsoFlo venting. Men's Helium UL is a nearby 2.75-layer example, not a three-layer match: its listed 15D nylon ripstop is not stated to be recycled. Denier and layer numbers identify materials/construction rather than comparative durability. Compare the Aspire Jacket, Aspire Trench, Women's Headwall, Foray Jacket and Helium UL reviews.
In this reviewed library, women's fit-block, shell-only and three-layer requirements return fifteen styles: Outdoor Research Aspire Jacket, Aspire Jacket - Plus, Aspire Trench and Headwall; Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755; Women's Seeker M16072; Women's Boulder Fork, Dirt Roamer Storm, Granite Crest, M10 Storm, Mesa Lane, Storm Racer, Torrentshell 3L and Triolet; and REI Co-op Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828, a three-layer shell-only plan with no separate insulating garment listed.
The new entries show why the construction boundary matters: Dirt Roamer 24290 is a three-layer shell but its 40D face is plain weave and its ripstop appears in separate 20D reinforcements; Storm Racer is a listed 179 g with 20D nylon-ripstop face, and M10 Storm is a listed 280 g with a 30D ECONYL ripstop face. Those maker-listed weights and deniers describe their respective constructions, not independently measured performance. Mesa Lane is 306 g listed with a recycled-polyester-ripstop face and left-pocket stow, while Granite Crest is 357 g listed with a recycled-nylon-ripstop face, pit zips and chest-pocket stow. Outdoor Everyday and Heyes Peak are two-layer, Swiftcurrent is four-layer, and the women's Insulated Boulder Fork is not a shell-only plan. A fit-block label still needs an individual size and layer check.
Compare the Plus Aspire 3L 322108 alongside the standard Aspire; its 1X–4X size block and specific 455 g / 77.5 cm listing do not predict fit. Also compare Women's Boulder Fork, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Granite Crest, Women's M10 Storm, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Torrentshell and Women's Triolet.
Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 is one of the documented women's-block, shell-only, three-layer matches; its exact page lists no separate insulating liner. Read the M16755 assessment for the style-specific material and feature limits.
The Women's Seeker M16072 is a separate three-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT member of this set with a Women's Regular Fit label and two-way pit zips. Its page describes recycled-nylon plain weave as the main fabric but does not explicitly assign that fiber to the lower ripstop zone. Compare the exact M16072 review.
Decision: The shell-only and three-layer requirements return 38 current models, including Papsura NF0A8A4D; its 71 g/m² fabric specification and 224 g average jacket weight describe different things. The exact page lists no attached insulating garment or temperature rating. Other North Face matches retain distinct source specifications: Graphic Superior NF0A8HW1 lists 71 g/m² fabric and 202 g average jacket weight; non-Graphic Superior NF0A86WG lists 79 g/m² textile mass; Torre Egger NF0A8C9A and Valley View NF0A8ESA are also documented 3L shells. Valley View additionally lists pit zips and own-pocket stow, but those features are not implied by three-layer construction. Compare the current Papsura, Graphic Superior, non-Graphic Superior, Torre Egger and Valley View assessments; these numbers are manufacturer measurements of different quantities, not comparative rain-performance ratings. Use the same-condition shell-only three-layer finder.
Shell-only plus three-layer construction
Foray and Aspire Jacket/Trench versions specify 40D recycled-nylon mechanical-stretch faces that their pages do not describe as ripstop. Headwall 322092/322111 use 75D recycled-polyester GORE-TEX 3L with pit-to-hem TorsoFlo openings, not a recycled-nylon-ripstop face. The longer trench pages do not name the jacket versions' TorsoFlo feature. The separately numbered 1X–4X Aspire Jacket - Plus 322108 is a three-layer shell with the long TorsoFlo vent, not the regular Aspire or Trench. Nearby Helium UL has a 15D nylon-ripstop face and pocket stow but specifies 2.75 layers, not three, and does not identify recycled nylon. These numbers name source-listed construction, not performance tiers; compare Foray Jacket, Foray Trench, Men's Headwall, Aspire Jacket, Aspire Trench, Women's Headwall and Helium UL.
Alongside the five North Face models above, 33 other matches in this reviewed library include seven Outdoor Research shells (Men's Foray Jacket, Foray Trench and Headwall; Women's Aspire Jacket, Aspire Jacket - Plus, Aspire Trench and Headwall), Marmot's Men's PreCip Evo Pro, Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755, Men's Seeker M16070 and Women's Seeker M16072, Men's Super Free Alpine, Kids' and Baby Torrentshell 3L, the men's Boulder Fork, Dirt Roamer Storm, Granite Crest, M10 Anorak, M10 Storm, Pluma PRO, Storm Racer, Torrentshell and Triolet; the women's Boulder Fork, Dirt Roamer Storm, Granite Crest, M10 Storm, Mesa Lane, Storm Racer, Torrentshell and Triolet; and REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. The women's Seeker's exact record lists 3L construction and a shell-only plan but does not confirm own-pocket stow.
Compare Men's PreCip Evo Pro M16737 alongside Men's Super Free Alpine 85750, Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421, as well as the other distinct shell constructions discussed in this section.
The men's Storm Racer and M10 shells add different running/alpine pocket-stow designs. Both Dirt Roamer cuts add a cycling-specific stretch plain-weave shell with a lower-back pocket; the women's style's separate 20D ripstop reinforcements do not change its 40D plain-weave face. Pluma PRO adds a three-layer alpine shell with pit zips but no confirmed stow. Women's Storm Racer 24117's 20D ripstop face and M10 Storm 85915's 30D face pair with different listed weights (179 g and 280 g), not a comparable durability result. Mesa Lane adds a shorter polyester-ripstop shell with stow; Granite Crest combines recycled-nylon-ripstop face, pit zips and chest-pocket stow. Outdoor Everyday and both Heyes Peak shells are two-layer in either rain arrangement, Swiftcurrent in both fit blocks is four-layer, and insulated Boulder Forks do not meet shell-only. Layer count, warmth, vents, stow and face fiber remain separate conditions.
Compare Men's Super Free Alpine 85750, Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421 as well as Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Storm Racer, Men's Torrentshell, Men's Boulder Fork, Men's Triolet, Women's Boulder Fork, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Granite Crest, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Torrentshell and Women's Triolet.
Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 is a shell-only three-layer match; Marmot lists no separate insulating liner. Read its exact assessment alongside the other three-layer choices.
Men's Summit Series FUTURELIGHT Papsura NF0A8A4D is one of the documented men's-block, shell-only, three-layer matches. Its 35.75-inch center-back measurement is a garment dimension, not a personal-fit guarantee. The exact US page lists 71 g/m² face-fabric mass separately from the maker-listed 224 g average garment weight and does not name pit zips. Read its style-specific assessment. Decision: For a men's fit block, shell-only use and three-layer construction, 21 current models match, including Papsura NF0A8A4D; its 71 g/m² fabric specification is distinct from the maker-listed 224 g average jacket weight. Use the same-condition three-choice finder.
Men's fit block, shell-only arrangement and three-layer construction
These are three separate conditions: a men's fit block, a documented rain plan without listed insulation, and a three-layer shell. Graphic Summit Superior NF0A8HW1 lists a maker-reported 202 g average garment weight alongside 71 g/m² fabric mass; these are different quantities, and the layer label is not a warmth or rain-performance rating. Non-Graphic Summit Superior NF0A86WG is a separate model with its own 79 g/m² textile specification and no listed numeric finished-jacket weight. Compare the Graphic NF0A8HW1 assessment with the non-Graphic NF0A86WG review. Decision: For a men's fit block, shell-only use and three-layer construction, 21 current models match, including Papsura NF0A8A4D; its 71 g/m² fabric specification is distinct from the maker-listed 224 g average jacket weight. Use the same-condition three-choice finder.
Included insulation plus three-layer construction
In this reviewed library, the insulated and three-layer requirements return the men's and women's Insulated Boulder Forks; the two-layer Windshadow styles, assembled two-layer Heyes Peak, the two-layer Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday and Baby All Seasons systems, and Ramble Component M15974 are excluded. Ramble's shell layer count is not stated, so it cannot be promoted to a three-layer match based on its 3-in-1 name.
The two Boulder Fork cuts document a three-layer shell with built-in insulation, while Heyes Peak shows why both conditions must be tested on the selected configuration: its assembled insulated arrangement is two-layer, so it does not satisfy a three-layer must-have. Ramble has an insulated shell-plus-liner plan, but the shell layer count is unreported; unknown is not proof of three layers. Kids' 4-in-1 Everyday's and Baby All Seasons' removable warm layers do not turn their two-layer shells into three-layer shells. This combination does not tell you a comfortable temperature range.
Read Men's Insulated Boulder Fork and Women's Insulated Boulder Fork; compare the two-layer Heyes Peak, Windshadow Jacket and Windshadow Parka, none of which meets the three-layer condition.
Women's insulated rain plan plus three-layer construction
With women's fit block, an insulated rain arrangement and a three-layer shell all required, the Women's Insulated Boulder Fork is the only currently reviewed match.
Women's Heyes Peak 3-in-1 has an included 80-g insulated liner, but its waterproof outer shell is two-layer, so the assembled insulated plan does not satisfy a three-layer must-have. The liner's separate ripstop fabric does not change the shell's layer count or polyester face. The 1,000 g combined system weight is not a temperature rating. Keep the package, shell construction and fit-block conditions separate.
Read Women's Insulated Boulder Fork and compare the two-layer Women's Heyes Peak 3-in-1.
Decision: Pit zips and self-stow together return 19 current matches, including Valley View NF0A8ESA. The current Valley View page confirms own-pocket stow but omits the pocket location; a same-style indexed view names the right-hand pocket. Alta Vista NF0A7QAW separately lists pit-zip venting and identifies its vertical secure-zip chest pocket as the stow route, not one of its hand pockets. Compare the Valley View and Alta Vista reviews, then find every model for these same vent and stow choices.
Pit zips plus self-stowing
Teris GTX 242157 lists pit zips but does not document a pocket-stow route, so it is excluded from this intersection rather than assumed to pack into a pocket. Flash Stretch 227563 also lists pit zips without a confirmed stow route and additionally requires the earlier-inclusive generation option. Their Teris and Flash Stretch assessments keep the two capability gaps and lifecycles separate.
Other documented pairs include current REI Rainier 227614 and Men's Rainier 227570 with named left-hand-pocket stow routes; Marmot Men's PreCip Evo Flex M16738, Evo Pro M16737 and PreCip Eco M15881; Women's PreCip Eco M15866; Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755; Granite Crest and Torrentshell 3L in both fit blocks; standard Men's and Women's Stratoburst Stretch 300893/300894, Women's Stratoburst Stretch Plus 322691, Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756, and REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. Rainier Long Line 227488 documents a stow route but does not list pit zips; current Trailmade C06632/C06749 are not documented with both requested features on their exact pages.
Marmot's PreCip Evo Flex lists pit zips plus left-pocket stow; its Evo Pro also lists both features but does not identify the stow pocket. The PreCip Eco M15881 page documents both pit zips and own-pocket stow, without identifying the pocket. The 2.5-layer Flex, three-layer Pro and PreCip Eco have distinct face-fabric and feature details; none is a fit or ventilation-performance guarantee.
The separate women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756 also documents the pit-zip and own-pocket-stow pairing; it identifies the left hand pocket and Women's Regular Fit. This is its own source-backed entry, not a feature inherited from Men's M16738.
Both Granite Crest styles name a left-chest stow pocket while listing two-way pit zips. The regular Men's and Women's Stratoburst styles list large pit zips and a left-hand stuff-sack pocket; Plus 322691 also lists large pit zips and pocket stow, but its product page conflicts between chest-pocket and left-hand-pocket locations. Read the exact Plus 322691 assessment if that location matters. All three women's Stratoburst shells use a 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester face, unlike the three-layer Granite Crest and Torrentshell builds. Pluma PRO has pit zips but no listed stow; both Dirt Roamer cuts have lower-back stow, but their front/side zippers are not called pit zips. Women's Storm Racer and M10 Storm also document self-stow yet their checked pages do not list pit zips; neither does Swiftcurrent. Women's Mesa Lane stows in a handwarmer pocket but no pit zips are listed. Women's Stratoburst SE lists collar stow for its hood but does not confirm either pit zips or whole-jacket pocket stow. The Triolet cuts have pit zips but no confirmed stow route, so they fail the second essential. A buyer who only needs vents can leave packing neutral rather than relaxing a hard condition silently.
Compare Men's Stratoburst Stretch, Women's Stratoburst Stretch, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm Bike Jacket, Men's Granite Crest, Women's Granite Crest, Women's M10 Storm, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Swiftcurrent Wading, Men's Outdoor Everyday, Men's Pluma PRO, the Men's Torrentshell, Women's Torrentshell and the limited-stow-evidence Men's Triolet or Women's Triolet.
M16755 documents pit zips and own-pocket stow on the same shell, although Marmot does not name the pocket used for stowing. Read the Women's M16755 review before relying on a pocket location.
Women's PreCip Eco M15866 is another member of this intersection: Marmot lists both pit zips and own-pocket stow, but leaves the pocket location and shell-layer count unstated. Read the M15866 assessment rather than assuming the nearby Evo styles share its details.
Women's block, pit zips and self-stowing
The women's fit-block, pit-zip and self-stow requirements return nine styles; REI Rainier 227614 joins the other eight because its current page lists both pit zips and left-hand-pocket stow. Compare the Rainier assessment with Women's Granite Crest, Women's Torrentshell 3L, standard Women's Stratoburst Stretch 300894, Women's Stratoburst Stretch Plus 322691, Marmot Women's PreCip Evo Flex M16756, Women's PreCip Eco M15866, Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755 and REI Co-op Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. The M16756 review confirms its polyester-ripstop shell, underarm pit zips and left-hand-pocket stow; M16755 is a separate three-layer polyester-plain-weave style with the same two required functions, but its own-pocket location is not specified. M15866 also documents both requested functions, while leaving its stow pocket unnamed. XeroCloud 241828 explicitly stows into the left-hand pocket; the checked page does not call its recycled nylon/polyester face ripstop. M16751 is a useful boundary: its exact page documents own-pocket stow but does not establish pit zips, so it does not satisfy this two-feature intersection.
Granite Crest 85420 names two-way pit zips and left-chest-pocket stow; Stratoburst 300894 lists large pit zips and a left-hand stuff-sack pocket in a 2.5-layer 50D recycled-polyester shell. The Women's Triolet also lists pit zips, but its official feature list does not confirm stow; Mesa Lane confirms stow but not pit zips. Women's Stratoburst SE 322690's hood stows into its collar, but neither pit zips nor a whole-jacket pocket-stow route is confirmed on that page. Treat the two features independently.
Read Women's Stratoburst Stretch, Women's Stratoburst Stretch Plus, Women's Granite Crest and Women's Torrentshell 3L; compare the Women's Stratoburst Stretch SE, Women's Triolet and Women's Mesa Lane for the distinct or single-feature boundaries.
Women's shell-only recycled-nylon jacket with pocket stow
For a women's fit-block shell-only jacket requiring both a recycled-nylon-ripstop face and pocket stow, eight currently reviewed models match, including REI Rainier Long Line 227488 and standard Rainier 227614; their exact pages list different cuts, lengths, venting and pocket details. The other six are Women's PreCip Eco M15866, Women's PreCip Evo M16751, Women's Granite Crest 85420, Women's M10 Storm 85915, Women's Storm Racer 24117 and Women's Torrentshell 3L. Read the Long Line and standard Rainier assessments to keep them separate from earlier item 127274.
M15866 and M16751 are separate PreCip styles: the Eco page documents pit zips but does not state its layer count, while the Evo page specifies 2.5 layers but does not establish pit zips. Both page records name recycled-nylon ripstop and own-pocket stow; neither identifies the stow pocket. Read the PreCip Eco assessment and PreCip Evo assessment for their separate evidence.
The M16751 page specifies 100% recycled nylon ripstop and says the jacket stuffs into its own pocket, but it does not name which pocket or establish pit zips. Granite Crest and Torrentshell add documented pit zips; M10 Storm and Storm Racer have separate alpine/running builds and no pit zips listed on the checked pages. These differences matter if vents, construction or the stow destination are also must-haves. The women's SkyChaser has a recycled-nylon blend in its ripstop shell but no documented pocket-stow route; the PreCip Evo Flex has stow but a recycled-polyester face, so neither meets this intersection. A match describes source-backed attributes, not personal fit or field performance.

Recycled nylon ripstop plus exact PFAS wording
Decision: Seventeen reviewed models match both recycled-nylon-ripstop and qualified PFAS-wording conditions; the maker's wording remains limited to the named components or finish, not a whole-garment PFAS-free guarantee. REI limits each qualifying statement to the DWR finish; the wording is not an absolute PFAS-free guarantee. Read the exact Long Line, men's Rainier and women's Rainier reviews rather than transferring the wording to earlier item 127274.
Marmot's PreCip Evo M16733 also qualifies: its 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop main fabric is paired with wording scoped to the C0 DWR treatment on its face fabric, not a whole-garment PFAS-free promise.
Storm Racer's material evidence names its face and DWR scope; M10 Storm and Anorak specify fabric, membrane and DWR. Women's Granite Crest 85420 joins the same choice with a 30-denier NetPlus nylon-ripstop face and wording scoped to fabric, membrane and DWR. The other women's additions do not meet both conditions: Outdoor Everyday uses faille and specifies its DWR; Mesa Lane uses recycled-polyester ripstop; Dirt Roamer 24290 has a 40D plain-weave face and separate 20D ripstop panels; Heyes Peak's nylon ripstop belongs to its liner rather than its polyester shell face; and Swiftcurrent 81776 specifies recycled nylon without ripstop wording. Men's Outdoor Everyday, Pluma PRO and Dirt Roamer Storm have qualified PFAS wording but fail the face-fabric condition: their faces are respectively faille, plain weave and stretch plain weave; Pluma's ripstop is in the backer and Dirt Roamer's is in localized panels. Hose-Down has a nylon-ripstop face but does not establish the same PFAS wording. PFAS statements do not turn the Triolet or Windshadow polyester faces into nylon. Keep material, weave and chemical claims independent.
The Kids' and Baby Torrentshells meet both conditions on separate 50D ECONYL 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop shell faces, with the maker's PFAS wording applying to their specified shell materials and finish. Those child-size versions are not adult fit-block choices. Compare the Kids' Torrentshell 64290 and Baby Torrentshell 61421 separately from Men's Granite Crest, Women's Granite Crest, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Storm Racer, Women's Storm Racer, Men's Torrentshell and Women's Torrentshell. Compare the PFAS-qualified nonmatches Women's Dirt Roamer Storm, Women's Outdoor Everyday, Women's Mesa Lane, Women's Swiftcurrent Wading, Women's Heyes Peak, Men's Dirt Roamer Storm, Men's Outdoor Everyday and Pluma PRO to see why one condition alone does not carry over.
Women's PreCip Evo M16751 has recycled nylon ripstop but no exact-page statement for the required PFAS wording, so it fails this combined requirement; its material tag does not inherit the Men's Evo's DWR-scoped wording. Read the M16751 assessment for the edition-specific source gap.

Selected rain arrangement plus qualified PFAS wording
Decision: Forty shell-only rain arrangements match the qualified PFAS-wording choice; REI's claims remain limited to the named ePE membrane or DWR finish. Men's Teris GTX 242157 has a shell-only plan and the specified membrane/finish wording, but own-pocket stow is unconfirmed. Kids' Rainier 227851 and Infants'/Toddlers' Rainier C01911 are distinct child-size shell-only models whose wording applies to the DWR finish. Teris GTX is not a three-layer or recycled-nylon-ripstop match. Compare the Teris GTX, Kids' Rainier and Infants'/Toddlers' Rainier reviews, then find every match for these same choices.
Their exact REI pages do not list pit zips or a whole-jacket own-pocket stow route; those two fields remain unconfirmed, not proof that the features are physically absent.
The shell-only and no-intentionally-added-PFAS choices now return forty currently reviewed arrangements. Current REI Rainier 227614 and Trailmade C06632 remain; Rainier Long Line 227488, men's Rainier 227570, men's Trailmade C06749 and Teris GTX 242157 are also current matches on their own DWR or membrane/finish statements. REI's wording applies only to the named components or finishes, not every garment part or residual content; read the exact Long Line, men's Rainier, men's Trailmade and Teris GTX reviews rather than treating their distinct constructions as one shared version. Marmot Men's PreCip Evo M16733 also qualifies through wording limited to its C0 DWR treatment on the face fabric. REI Co-op's current Men's XeroCloud 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 241828 match with their own finish-scoped wording, but no page makes an all-garment PFAS-free guarantee or provides numeric membrane ratings. Earlier Women's XeroCloud Long 241831 and Flash Stretch 227563 remain excluded by the current-only generation setting; the Flash page separately limits its wording to the DWR finish. Women's PreCip Evo M16751 is a shell-only recycled-nylon-ripstop option, but its exact page does not provide the required wording; do not transfer the men's Evo claim to the women's style. Kids' Storm Shift 68455, Kids' 4-in-1 68035, Kids' Torrentshell 64290, Baby Torrentshell 61421 and Baby All Seasons 61380 are distinct child examples. Storm Shift is an uninsulated two-layer snow shell; the combination jackets count as shell-only only with their separate warm piece removed. Kids' Powder Town, Everyday Ready and Baby Snow Pile do not satisfy this shell-only arrangement because their documented insulation stays in each jacket. See the Men's PreCip Evo assessment for its limited wording, the Men's XeroCloud review and Women's XeroCloud review, the Women's PreCip Evo assessment for its unconfirmed wording, and the Baby Snow Pile review for its fixed 100-g insulated plan, alongside the separate Kids' Torrentshell and Baby Torrentshell shell reviews.
The insulated and no-intentionally-added-PFAS choices return eleven currently reviewed arrangements. This includes Kids' Powder Town 68451 and Everyday Ready 68076, Baby Snow Pile 61118, and the separate Kids' 4-in-1 and Baby All Seasons setups. The first three are one-piece insulated two-layer styles; the 4-in-1 and All Seasons require their selected shell-plus-liner setup. Storm Shift is excluded from the insulated answer because the checked page describes an uninsulated shell for layering. These are source-backed arrangement tags, not warmth ratings or compatibility guarantees. Compare the Storm Shift, Powder Town, Everyday Ready, Baby Snow Pile, Kids' 4-in-1, Baby Torrentshell and Baby All Seasons reviews; the exact scope of each qualified PFAS statement is model-specific.

Women's shell-only nylon-ripstop face plus qualified PFAS wording
Within the reviewed library, the women's fit block, shell-only rain plan, recycled-nylon-ripstop face and qualified no-intentionally-added-PFAS wording together return six styles; Rainier Long Line 227488 joins Rainier 227614, Granite Crest, M10 Storm, Storm Racer and Torrentshell 3L. REI's wording for both Rainier editions is limited to the DWR finish; read the Long Line and standard Rainier assessments and do not transfer either claim to older item 127274.
The wording scope and shell purpose remain distinct: Granite Crest and M10 Storm state the wording for fabric, membrane and DWR; Storm Racer scopes it to DWR; compare the exact Torrentshell page for its named scope. The Storm Racer is the listed 179 g running shell with a 20D face, while M10 Storm is the listed 280 g alpine shell with a 30D face; those figures are maker-listed design facts, not a weight-based ranking or independent test. Both add pocket stow but their checked pages do not list pit zips. If underarm vents are also essential, add that actual questionnaire choice: the compatible women's feature package then consists of Granite Crest and Torrentshell, not the two lighter activity-specific shells. Chemical wording does not certify material safety or overall performance.
The separate Women's PreCip Evo M16751 has an exact recycled-nylon-ripstop face and pocket-stow claim but no confirmed wording for the chemical choice, so it is not included in these six matches. The M16751 review keeps that unknown distinct from Men's PreCip Evo M16733.
Compare Women's Granite Crest, Women's M10 Storm Jacket, Women's Storm Racer and Women's Torrentshell 3L.
Decision: The men's fit block, shell-only plan and recycled-nylon-ripstop requirement return 12 current styles, including Papsura NF0A8A4D; earlier NF0A84PR's material line does not name ripstop. The Antora Jacket NF0A7QEY has a two-layer 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop face separate from its polyester lining; Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP qualifies with its fleece detached; Torre Egger NF0A8C9A has a recycled-nylon-ripstop main body with distinct recycled-polyester hood, back and underarm panels; and current Papsura NF0A8A4D names a 100% recycled-nylon-ripstop face. Use the finder with those same conditions. Compare it with the earlier Papsura review; the linked assessments keep the fabric and model identity separate.
Men's shell-only plan plus recycled nylon ripstop
The other eight current models in this 12-style men's result are REI Men's Rainier 227570, Marmot Men's PreCip Evo M16733, Outdoor Research SkyChaser 322682, Patagonia Men's Granite Crest, M10 Anorak, M10 Storm, Storm Racer and Men's Torrentshell 3L. Rainier's 2.5-layer recycled-ripstop face and DWR-scoped PFAS statement are specific to item 227570; read the exact review.
Marmot's PreCip Evo M16733 adds a 2.5-layer recycled-nylon-ripstop face and own-pocket stow, with PFAS wording limited to its C0 DWR treatment; the exact page does not confirm pit zips. The other men's Marmot examples differ: Evo Flex is recycled-polyester ripstop and Evo Pro is recycled-polyester plain weave.
The eight models listed here document recycled-nylon-ripstop faces and an uninsulated shell arrangement, but their listed weights, backers, membranes, cuts and pocket routes differ. SkyChaser's exact 40D face is a 52% recycled-nylon/48% nylon blend, and its page lists pit zips but not pocket-stow. The M10 shells and Storm Racer have chest-pocket stow; their exact pages do not list pit zips. The Heyes Peak outer shell is shell-only but is two-layer polyester, and the Swiftcurrent is recycled nylon without confirmed ripstop wording, so neither is promoted to this combined material match.
Compare Men's SkyChaser, Men's Granite Crest, Men's M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm Jacket, Men's Storm Racer and Men's Torrentshell 3L; the Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket illustrates why recycled nylon alone does not establish a ripstop face.
Insulation plus recycled nylon ripstop: one documented shell-and-liner match
Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP is the only reviewed configuration that documents an insulated rain arrangement and a recycled-nylon-ripstop waterproof-shell face together. Its attached-fleece plan meets both conditions in one setup; its shell-only plan is separate. Read the NF0A7UJP assessment. Decision: Antora Triclimate NF0A7UJP is the single reviewed model that documents both an insulated shell-plus-fleece rain arrangement and a recycled-nylon-ripstop waterproof-shell face.
The result is narrow: the included 100% recycled-polyester fleece joins the exact 2L recycled-nylon-ripstop DRYVENT shell through the documented loops/snaps. The outer remains two-layer; the liner is not a third shell layer or the rain face. No temperature rating, pit-zip, self-stow or numeric membrane result is supplied. Do not treat the result as a fit or comfort guarantee.
The Insulated Boulder Fork cuts and both men's Windshadow styles document insulation but have polyester faces. Both Heyes Peak 3-in-1 systems include a nylon-ripstop zip-out liner, but each waterproof outer shell is recycled-polyester plain weave; the face requirement is about the rain shell, not a separate liner. Storm Racer and both M10 shells document recycled-nylon-ripstop faces but are shell-only. Outdoor Everyday, Mesa Lane, Granite Crest and Dirt Roamer Storm do not add a matching insulated rain plan with the requested shell face; the Hose-Down's separate insulation status remains unconfirmed. This is a gap in the reviewed library, not proof that no product exists elsewhere; do not broaden to polyester or transfer a liner's fabric to the shell.
Compare the documented shell-only Storm Racer, M10 Storm and M10 Anorak evidence; their recycled face material does not imply included insulation.

Decision: Three-layer construction and underarm pit zips together return 21 current matches, including Torre Egger NF0A8C9A. The exact Torre Egger page names both FUTURELIGHT 3L construction and zipped underarm vents, not a measured ventilation score. Valley View NF0A8ESA is another documented example: its page lists DRYVENT 3L and its category identifies pit-zip venting. Layer and vent labels do not establish measured cooling or rain performance. Compare the Torre Egger and Valley View reviews, then find every match for these same construction and vent choices.
Three-layer construction plus pit zips
Foray Jacket 322088, Aspire Jacket 322107 and the separately numbered Aspire 3L Plus 322108 document two-way TorsoFlo openings from hem to bicep, and both Headwall pages describe zippers from pit to hem. These are long side openings, not short conventional underarm-only zips; the classification does not promise a measured venting result. The separate Foray Trench 322862 and Aspire Trench 322110 pages do not name TorsoFlo. Review the Foray Jacket, Foray Trench, Aspire Jacket, Aspire Trench, Men's Headwall and Women's Headwall before deciding whether the configuration suits your own need.
The other nineteen matches include Outdoor Research Foray Jacket, Men's Headwall, Aspire Jacket, Aspire Jacket - Plus and Women's Headwall; Marmot Men's PreCip Evo Pro M16737, Women's PreCip Evo Pro M16755, Men's Seeker M16070 and Women's Seeker M16072; Granite Crest in both fit blocks; Men's Super Free Alpine 85750; Pluma PRO; both Triolet cuts; both adult Torrentshell 3L cuts; and REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158 and Women's XeroCloud 3L 241828. The Kids' and Baby Torrentshells are three-layer, but their exact pages do not document pit zips. The two Seeker editions have distinct fit blocks and page records; the Women's Seeker's main-fabric line names recycled-nylon plain weave, while its lower ripstop zone is not explicitly assigned that fiber, and an own-pocket stow route is not listed.
Marmot's Evo Pro combines a three-layer recycled-polyester plain-weave shell with pit zips and own-pocket stow, but does not satisfy the separate recycled-nylon-ripstop face choice.
This combination isolates construction and ventilation; it does not require a fit block, nylon fabric or pocket stow. Women's Granite Crest adds a third confirmed fit-block example, with a 30-denier nylon-ripstop face, two-way pit zips and chest-pocket stow. Pluma PRO also names underarm pit zips. Women's Dirt Roamer Storm is three-layer but its vents are front/side zippers, not pit zips; Women's Storm Racer's 20D and M10 Storm's 30D nylon-ripstop faces are also not paired with listed pit zips. Outdoor Everyday is two-layer. The Heyes Peak is two-layer in both rain arrangements, while both Swiftcurrent wading shells are four-layer. Layer count and denier are exact specifications, not substitutes for checking fit, vent openings or material wording.
Compare Men's Granite Crest, Women's Granite Crest, Men's Pluma PRO, Men's Triolet, Women's Triolet, Men's Torrentshell and Women's Torrentshell; the three-layer but pit-zip-unconfirmed Men's Dirt Roamer Storm, Women's Dirt Roamer Storm, M10 Anorak, Men's M10 Storm, Women's M10 Storm, Men's Storm Racer and Women's Storm Racer cannot pass the vent condition. The two-layer Women's Heyes Peak and Women's Outdoor Everyday cannot pass the layer condition.
M16755 is another documented three-layer shell with pit-area venting; Marmot lists mechanical stretch separately, not as a measured ventilation result. Read the women's style-specific review.
Men's Valley View NF0A8ESA is a useful near-match boundary, not a candidate for this full package: it documents the three-layer shell, pit zips and own-pocket stow, but its 85% recycled-polyester / 15% nylon body is not documented as recycled-nylon ripstop and its DWR wording does not state that components are made without intentionally added PFAS. Read its exact-style review rather than loosening either material or chemical condition.
Men's full shell-feature package
For the full men's shell-only, three-layer, pit-zip, self-stow, recycled-nylon-ripstop and qualified PFAS package, the reviewed matches are Granite Crest and Men's Torrentshell 3L.
These are not interchangeable offers: Granite Crest style 85415 lists a 30-denier recycled-nylon-ripstop face and a left-chest stow pocket, while the Torrentshell listing has its own face-fabric denier, finish and left-handwarmer stow route. Pluma PRO is a pit-zip, three-layer shell but has no documented pocket stow and its ripstop is only in the backer. Dirt Roamer Storm has three-layer construction, a lower-back stow route and qualified PFAS wording, but its principal face is stretch plain weave and its front/side vents are not pit zips. Outdoor Everyday is two-layer and has no listed pocket-stow route. Storm Racer and both M10 shells also document several requested features, but their checked pages do not list underarm pit zips. The matching conditions establish only documented feature overlap; compare exact style, size, package and seller information before choosing. This is not a wear or rain-performance test.
Read Men's Granite Crest and Men's Torrentshell 3L. Compare Dirt Roamer Storm, Outdoor Everyday and Pluma PRO to see which separate condition each misses. The Men's Triolet has confirmed pit zips but no confirmed pocket stow or recycled-nylon face, while the Storm Racer, M10 Storm and M10 Anorak have no documented underarm pit zips; none is established as meeting the full package.
Women's full shell-feature package
For the full women's fit-block plus shell-only, three-layer, pit-zip, self-stow, recycled-nylon-ripstop and qualified PFAS package, Women's Granite Crest and Women's Torrentshell 3L are the reviewed matches.
Granite Crest style 85420 documents a 30-denier recycled-nylon-ripstop face, two-way pit zips and a left-chest stow pocket; Torrentshell is a separate matching construction with its own materials and stow route. Mesa Lane stows but uses polyester ripstop and has no listed pit zips. Dirt Roamer Storm has stow but uses a plain-weave shell face and its front/side zippers are not pit zips. Storm Racer 24117 and M10 Storm 85915 each combine three-layer nylon-ripstop shells with pocket stow, but their checked feature lists do not name underarm pit zips. The Women's Triolet confirms three-layer construction and pit zips but its checked feature list does not confirm stow or a recycled-nylon-ripstop face. These are evidence matches, not personal fit or performance guarantees.
Women's PreCip Evo M16751 is a relevant partial match for the recycled-nylon-ripstop and pocket-stow parts, but it is a 2.5-layer shell and its exact page does not confirm pit zips or the qualified PFAS wording. It therefore does not satisfy this full package; see the style-specific assessment rather than inferring missing features from the brand family.
Read Women's Granite Crest and Women's Torrentshell 3L; compare the Women's Dirt Roamer Storm, Women's M10 Storm, Women's Storm Racer, Women's Mesa Lane and Women's Triolet for separate feature boundaries. Check exact fit chart and offer before purchase.
Decision: The men's-block, shell-only and self-stowing query returns 23 current matches, including Papsura NF0A8A4D's named right-hand-pocket route; packed dimensions remain unknown. Other North Face examples illustrate why the pocket and construction details stay model-specific: TNF Packable NF0A7ZZ4 names a secure-zip center-back stow pocket on its 2L shell; Graphic Summit Superior NF0A8HW1 and non-Graphic Summit Superior NF0A86WG are separate 3L models with distinct right-side/right-hip stow details; Ridgelite WP NF0A8ESG names its right-hand pocket, while its underarm gussets are not pit zips; Fontanales NF0A8DTK names its bonded chest stow pocket on a 2.5L shell; Valley View NF0A8ESA lists own-pocket stow and pit zips but its current page omits the pocket location; and Alta Vista NF0A7QAW identifies a vertical secure-zip chest stow pocket and pit zips. See the exact Papsura, TNF Packable, Graphic Summit Superior, non-Graphic Summit Superior, Ridgelite WP, Fontanales, Valley View and Alta Vista reviews, then open the same-condition three-choice finder. The earlier Papsura NF0A84PR remains a separate style and is included only with the earlier-model option.
Men's shell-only plan plus a documented pocket-stow route
Other reviewed men's shell-only options with documented own-pocket stow include REI Co-op Men's Rainier 227570; Marmot PreCip Evo Flex M16738, Evo M16733, Evo Pro M16737, Superalloy M15378 and PreCip Eco M15881; Outdoor Research Helium UL and Stratoburst Stretch; Patagonia Dirt Roamer Storm, Granite Crest, M10 Anorak, M10 Storm, Storm Racer and Torrentshell 3L; and REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158. Rainier names its left pocket as the stow route and lists pit zips. Trailmade C06749 does not document own-pocket stow.
The Marmot pages do not all identify the same pocket: Flex names the left hand pocket, while Evo and Evo Pro say that the jacket stows into its own pocket without naming which one. The Flex, Evo and Pro are separately assessed; their maker-listed 100 and 130 g/m² main-fabric weights are not packed-volume measurements.
Helium UL 322681 is the 2.75-layer option whose chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack; standard Men's Stratoburst Stretch 300893 is 2.5-layer and lists a left-hand-pocket stuff sack. Foray 3L 322088 has a three-layer, 40D face but no manufacturer-listed pocket-stow route. A feature page that names pockets is not enough to infer a stuff sack, and the 15D, 40D and 50D numbers do not rank durability. Compare Men's Helium UL, Men's Stratoburst Stretch, Men's Granite Crest and Men's Torrentshell 3L.
Decision: The men's-block, shell-only, self-stow and three-layer choices return 12 current matches, including Papsura NF0A8A4D; pit zips and packed dimensions remain separate unknowns. The exact Papsura page names a right-hand-pocket stow route; the Graphic Summit Superior NF0A8HW1 and non-Graphic NF0A86WG pages document separate three-layer, pocket-stowing configurations and must not share one another's weights or features. Valley View NF0A8ESA also matches and lists pit zips, while its current page omits the stow-pocket location. Compare the Papsura, Graphic Summit Superior, non-Graphic Summit Superior and Valley View assessments, then use the same-condition four-choice finder.
Men's shell-only plan, pocket stow and three-layer construction
Eight other matches include Marmot PreCip Evo Pro M16737 plus Patagonia Dirt Roamer Storm, Granite Crest, M10 Anorak, M10 Storm, Storm Racer and Torrentshell 3L, and REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158.
Within the Marmot trio, only Evo Pro M16737 meets this added layer-count condition; the Evo and Evo Flex are both 2.5-layer models despite sharing a name family.
Helium UL falls out because its exact product page specifies 2.75 layers, not three; the two standard Stratoburst Stretch products are 2.5-layer shells, not three; and Foray 3L falls out because its product page does not document a stow route. These are separate conditions: Helium's chest pocket doubles as its stuff sack, Stratoburst's left hand pocket is the stuff sack, while the Foray's listed hand and chest pockets are not described as pack pockets. The set illustrates why a nearby numerical label does not erase the maker's construction description. See the nonmatching Helium UL, Men's Stratoburst Stretch and Foray 3L, and matching examples Men's Granite Crest and Men's Torrentshell 3L.
Men's shell-only plan with three-layer construction, pit zips and pocket stow
This is a useful combined task when a shopper wants a men's-block shell, chooses insulation separately, and requires both three-layer construction and two specific shell functions. Five current models match in the reviewed library: Marmot Men's PreCip Evo Pro M16737, The North Face Men's Valley View NF0A8ESA, Patagonia Men's Granite Crest and Torrentshell 3L, and REI Co-op Men's XeroCloud 3L 242158. Their shared matcher result means only that the reviewed pages document the same selected capabilities; it does not establish equivalent face fabrics, fit, stow-pocket location, care, or tested rain performance.
Valley View's exact US record adds a distinct 85% recycled-polyester / 15% nylon DRYVENT 3L body, underarm pit zips, and own-pocket stow. The current page does not name the stow pocket; an indexed same-style view names the right-hand pocket. The body is not documented as recycled-nylon ripstop, and the DWR wording is not the qualified no-intentionally-added-PFAS statement. Compare the Valley View review, Marmot Evo Pro M16737, Granite Crest, Torrentshell 3L and XeroCloud 3L 242158 before adding a fabric or chemical requirement; that stricter set excludes Valley View.
For men's fit block, shell-only wear, three-layer construction, pit-zip venting and own-pocket stow, five current models match in this reviewed library, including Valley View NF0A8ESA.
Source scope and limits
These assessments draw on the U.S. manufacturer records cited on each model page. The library covers 120 individually reviewed rain-jacket configurations from recorded Patagonia, Outdoor Research, Marmot, REI Co-op and The North Face source branches; it is not a complete census of every brand, model or seller. Product listings and stock can change, so check the exact model, size, color and included pieces in the current offer. A finder result means the cited review documents each selected condition; it is not a guarantee of personal fit or tested performance.
